We loved this cottage and it was a clear winner for us - we hated leaving and definately plan to return! It was well placed for the Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula, Killarney and Kenmare - Killorglin is very near as well.
Quiet location but convenient. Great value stay - 10/10 for us on the value front, plus - oil and electricity included and non smoking - all ideal.
The owners were absolutely great - nothing was too much trouble! We had cake, eggs and milk and warm scones for us! It was so peaceful to stay there, great mattresses (we could haved stayed a month if we could have!!) and newly renovated bedrooms I think - gorgeous!
The shower always gave lovely warm water and was easy to step into.
The photos didnt do justice to the fantastic views from the living room and bedrooms! The mountains were fantastic!
The electric 'woodburner' in the lounge was great - as it was a boost if you wanted more heat on demand and quickly - although we didnt have to use it for long as the heating was set to come on morning and afternoon/evening and Ann the lovely owner said to just knock if we needed more heat (we didnt!)! , the kitchen was brilliantly equipped, plus it had a dishwasher which we didnt expect!
The parterre garden was delightful.
We have already been recommending it - we loved it ourselves.
We have used Shamrock cottages before and they are great too - no booking fee and no credit charge surcharge for us - unlike other agencies we did try to book with. We have also had ferry discounts with Shamrock on previous breaks too - we would give them 10/10 too.
In Ireland - take your Sat Nav - but it doesnt work for all areas - so a good map helps.
