We stopped for a coffee on the way from Argostolion to Assos. Nice and friendly place, beautiful view down the valley.

I ate breakfast here every day and sometimes lunch during our holiday in Kefalonia. For breakfast, there are many options, my personal favourite was saganaki ( fried cheese) or home-made gem. If you are at Giorgos for lunch/ dinner, feel free to ask Marilena " what' s for lunch?" in the the same way you would ask your mother. She will gladly show you what's in the oven or on the stove, and daily dishes are absolutely delicious! I tried the lentil soup, oven baked beans , mousaka ( fantastic), beef in tomato souce or meat pie. Authentic Greek couisine and a secret ingredient: love! Marilena cooks for the people she loves- family, locals and tourists and you can really feel this in the food. I've had the same feeling as in my mother kitchen. Try it and you will love it!
