Description: Since 1992, the Sforza's Westport Italian trattoria has earned a “loyal following” with “dependable” “classic” fare, some inspired by nonna's recipes, plus brick-oven pizza and weeknight family-style specials, served in an “inviting” Tuscan farmhouse setting that “brings you to old-time Italy” with a distinctive stone exterior; “first-rate” service and a popular Sunday brunch are further reasons why fans declare “it's one of our favorites.” - Zagat

Via Sforza has been our family go to for many years and the food is consistently good, with fresh ingredients and a wonderful value. The service is friendly and helpful if you are not sure what to order. Our favorites are the salads, pastas, and veal dishes.

Went here today for brunch. 20.00per person. The egg dishes were ok but the other dishes were good a great antipasto with salami. Ham Serrano ham and salad with smoked mozzarella marinated mushrooms and artichoke hearts with olives. Italian table cheese and breads. The main dishes were also great meatballs, chicken Parmesan, sausage and peppers, beef, chicken wit mushroom and peas. And ziti and ravioli. The dessert table had miniature cannoli's, pastries ,cookies pane cotti, and fruits. Service was continual and attentive. Brunch included mimosa's unlimited!

One of our favorite restaurants. We followed them from Norwalk to Westport....actually liked the other place better because it was a little quieter.

The salads and pasta fagioli and seafood risotto are favorites. The tomato focaccia is a favorite. The house Chianti is excellent.
No reservations allowed so it can get crowded especially on weekends.

I have dined here many times over the years, and it is my go-to place when I want a solid meal. Experienced, long term, stable staff gets to know you, and greets you by name, a nice touch.

The owner is usually in the kitchen, and runs a tight ship. I have had many fine meals by simply telling the waiter to bring me what is good today, something I never do elsewhere.

We like the place so much, my wife and I got married in the restaurant...which is not something they normally do. They did a fabulous job of this, and at a very reasonable price, too.

We were headed out at the last minute to celebrate our son heading off to CA for graduate school (he wanted Italian) and decided on Via Sforza because it was on our list of "local restaurants to try." Unfortunately we found the menu disappointing and ended up ordering two pizzas and an antipasto appetizer. I was expecting a nicer antipasto spread...it wasn't very creative. The pizza is supposed to be "brick oven" (and they have a brick oven....but it was underdone and again nothing special. Small quantity in the toppings area. If you're looking for pizza try Fat Cat Pie Co. in Norwalk or Colony in Fairfield.
