Silas W. Robbins House
Ranked #1 of 4 Wethersfield B&B and Inns
Reviewed 7 October 2013

We stayed only one night here on the last night of our 'New England in the Fall' anniversary trip We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Everything about it was simply perfect. From the elegantly decorated and refurbished property to the caring and professional attitude of the owners, the place was perfect in every respect.

It is difficult to overstate just how good this place is. No detail has been overlooked and no expense spared to make this B&B a true gem. Even the way the owners were prepared to deal with a minor issue went way above and beyond.

The Silas W Robbins House has to be one of the very best B&B's in the whole of the USA. I just can't see how it can be bettered. They even made me a bowl of delicious oatmeal for breakfast, which I had been unable to find anywhere else. It really was a great way to finish off a great trip. John and Shireen are true diamonds.

Wow!! The Silas W Robbins House B&B is absolutely amazing! A beautiful building with very lovely hosts. Our spectacularly decorated room was comfortable and clean and it had a picturesque view of Broad Street. Shireen's traditional New England breakfasts were also very delicious, The B&B is a 5 minute walk from Old Wethersfield, which has some very nice shops, bars and restaurants. We recommend this B&B highly.

This B&B is just off the highway, so very convenient. It was lovingly restored. Breakfast was great. The owner was so helpful that, when the taxi was late, he prepared to drive the guest to the airport. Besides the usual amenities, it had tv and central air. Highly recommend it.

We had a splendid time on our recent visit to this extraordinary period B&B. Attention to both the broad experience and the smallest detail earmarked our time at the Robbins House, and we left very happy with our choice. We recommend it without hesitation.

My husband and I stayed at the Silas W. Robbins House while visiting relatives in Wethersfield. The décor, cleanliness, service, and overall atmosphere of this B & B are overwhelming. We have stayed many places world-wide, but the Silas Robbins House beats them all. Bravo to John and Shireen! We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: All rooms are delightful, but we picked the Jane Robbins room. What a treat!

My husband and I stayed at the Silas Robbins Inn over Easter Weekend. Our grandson was
being christened at the Trinity College Chapel. What a surprise!! The Inn was fabulous.
Impeccably clean and restored. Every room was immaculate and the bathrooms updated
and had plenty of room. The Inn Keepers are so warm and welcoming.
The breakfast offered in the morning was "memorable". It was unlike any other Inn breakfast
we have had. It was fabulous and a great way to start the day.
If you have a child who attends Trinity College...YOU MUST STAY HERE. If you are visiting
the area...no other choice. Its a gem.

Room Tip: All the rooms are wonderful...truly. I didn't see a pool but had to put a grade for the pool...

My husband and I stayed at the Silas W. Robbins House while attending a sports event in Hartford. We had the most wonderful experience at this lovely mansion. The impeccable decor, warm and friendly service, and wonderful breakfast were highlights of our visit. The innkeepers were attentive to every detail. It was just remarkable. We look forward to other opportunities to visit again in the future!

Room Tip: All the rooms seemed lovely. We stayed in the Silas Robbins room.
