We loved our week spent here recently. We had family coming together from different parts of the UK and were looking for a large enough house to fit us all in (12) whilst still being a nice place to stay.
Being a converted pub, this house has a really quirky layout to it which we loved. It feels like the house just keeps ongoing. With various rooms (kitchen/diner, dining room, snug, living room) there is plenty of space to spread out.
The house is very well kitted out, with everything you could need in the kitchen for cooking your own meals for the week, loads of cupboard and surface space, a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, washing line, etc.
Eating all together can be a bit tricky as both the kitchen/diner and the dining room fit one table really well, but to have all 12 of us together we put them both in the kitchen and it was perfect for conversation and spending time together but made movement around the room a little tricky and you had to make sure you had everything you might need out of the cupboards before sitting down - but if the weather is good there is ample outdoor seating.
The garden is large and fully enclosed, with 3 swings also. It was perfect for having children and I can see how it would work well with pets too.
One thing I would note if you are visiting with small children was the lack of stair gate - we overcame this by taking a travel stair barrier with us and that fit up fine.
I'd definitely recommend this property if you are looking for something that is a little out of the way (it has beautiful views) but close enough to plenty of activities that you can easily find lots to do with people of all ages.
