We stayed for 3 nights. Very convenient location for long distance because it is at the beginning of the park and not far from the best attractions, walks, rides. Very peaceful. Superb hospitality and Jo-Anne is a great cook: breakfast also offered with a special each day, quality was outstanding not the usual cheap sausages. Gerry provides plenty of advice. Rooms comfortable, perhaps on the small side but sufficient and our had a great view on the garden and the hills. A great experience to be repeated.

We enjoyed a short stay at The Hill where we were made very welcome by the proprietors Gerry and Jo-Anne Wilkinson. We had a well appointed room overlooking the garden that was attractively decorated and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was plentiful and with a good selection of hot and from the cold buffet.

My daughter and I stayed with Jo- Anne and Gerry for 4 nights. We had a wonderful time and Jo-Anne could not have been more helpful. Breakfast are really good. It was handy having the Watermill pub so close.

This is a wonderful place to stay as a base for the Lakes. We were amazed to have found such a peaceful and high quality B&B. We stayed in the small bedroom, it was a delightful room having all facilities but the emphasis being on high quality. The weather was good and we were fortunate to sit out in the gardens. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay and would gladly visit again. Thank you so much for your kind hospitality.

Room Tip: All rooms of equality high quality. Don't be put off by description of 'small bedroom'.

We stayed for 2 nights while attending a wedding in Windermere. Very convenient location and easy to find. Very welcoming hosts, the room was lovely, we especially liked the window seat and very comfortable bed, we slept incredibly well. The breakfast was wonderful both days with plenty of choice and the homemade jams were fabulous. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

We spent two nights at this lovely B&B which has a good position in a little hamlet half way between Windemere and Kendal. The hosts were extremely welcoming, Jo-Anne makes a great breakfast with lots of choice and Gerry is a mine of local knowledge. There are some nice little touches which makes this place stand out, like the use of local toiletries, biscuits and sausages for example. The rooms are very comfortable and there is a great topiary garden out front where you can sit on a sunny day! There's a also a pub within easy walking distance that does nice food. Thoroughly recommend it.
