Friendly staff, however waited over 45 minutes for food - 4 main courses. After going to the bar to ask where the food was the man explained there was a table of 20 and then us and would be about 5 minutes. It was another 15! The food arrived hot and tasted as it should although portion sizes varied and where overall small for the prices paid for them!
Overall the pub and staff was friendly but service needs to be improved, will not be returned and left disappointed after been highlighted as a nice place to eat by friends.

“Lovely stop on the way to the Lakes!”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

Travelling to the Lake District we became a tad tired and hungry, then the Watermill pub caught our eye, a quick slam on the breaks and we were climbing out to enter. We were impressed that it had it's own micro-brewery and my boyfriend took advantage of this fact, whilst I made friends with a double vodka. Unfortunately I wasn't hungry as we had had a huge breakfast. My boyfriend however, is a true to his glutton membership and ordered steak and ale pie which came with chips, carrots and green beans. The chips were gorgeous, proper chippy chips style. Yum! I would highly recommend stopping here for a drink, that old fashioned pub feel and some fab home cooking!

“A great pub for dogs!”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

A very busy pub that has its own brewery. Very dog friendly and serves food all day! Bit pricey, £9.99+ for meals. Average pub food. A lively atmosphere and friendly staff.
