Lovely restored railway station, really warm although it was cold and wet outside no need to light coal fire. Nice pub in walking distance but take a torch or fulscent.
Cottage well equipped, lovely views next to live railway line, ,my husband a railway nut loved it. Only down side garden was not enclosed as advertised, my dogs (or children) would easily jump down onto road. Had to keep them on a lead.
This cottage exceeded our expectations, as soon as we arrived it was like stepping back in time! The station cottage has been restored with much love and care by the owner and retains all that was lovely about the building in its working days whilst affording every comfort one could wish for. Trains still run past the window (it makes you jump a little until day two! The cottage is situated in a lovely, friendly village which is very much a working community and not just 'holiday cottage city'. The views all around are amazing and we had every sort of weather there is in one day! The owners are helpful but not intrusive and give help if needed. The area is quiet but close enough to everything that you may need and is surrounded by lovely places to walk, cycle, climb or just potter around and relax. Highly reccommended
