When traveling to the area we typically stay in Rehoboth Beach, This time we decided to stay in Dewey. The beach was nice. There is no board walk and the shops are on the main road rather than the beach. It makes the beach feel a little more natural. During the summer dogs are allowed on the beach in the evening. There are snack shacks on the beach for convenience. We did not need to purchase anything so I do not know if the prices are reasonable. This summer they are offering a lot of family activities on the beach. They have weekly movies on the beach and bonfires for s'mores roasting marshmallows. The only thing that made Rehoboth a referable beach was the lack of public restrooms. Having young kids it is inconvenient to run a block and a half back to the hotel to use the facilities.
