We just had our first Papa John's Pizza, an extra large pizza called "The Works", which is supposed to be loaded with a mouthwatering combination of pepperoni, ham, spicy Italian sausage, fresh-sliced onions & green peppers, gourmet baby portabella mushrooms and ripe black olives. We ordered it on thin crust. What a disappointment this pizza was. The crust tasted like it just came out of the freezer. There were perhaps 4 niblets of black olives on the entire pizza, I saw no green peppers at all, but there were large chunks of onion. The ham looked like yesterday's breakfast leftover. The pizza had absolutely no spices at all, but there was a little seasoning packet of spices included with the pizza, to give it some flavor. Since we had a coupon code, we got a side order of cheesesticks, which were basically big puffs of dough with some cheese on them, dry and tasteless, and now the birds outside are getting a treat. This pizza was very overpriced at almost $17.00, and we could have eaten just as poorly (but a lot cheaper) buying a frozen pizza from the supermarket. This was a disappointment, and we will never order from here again.
