“Nice little get away place”

Killens Pond State Park
Ranked #1 of 3 things to do in Felton

This was our first visit, but based on the listed amenities and reviews we thought we would like it and we weren't disappointed. It is a nice quiet little place with a beautiful pond. We were in a nice shaded site (A06) close to a walking path and the lake. The park is easy to get to. We'll be back.

This has to be one of the nicest parks ever designed! The beautiful, large pond offers fishing and canoe, kayak, rowboat and paddleboat rentals. The water park looked like fun, but was at capacity so we were unable to enter. The best part of the park is the topnotch nature center with educational exhibits, informative interpreters, and a beautiful view of the pond. Killens Pond State Park is a peaceful departure from the hectic beach life just minutes away.

took vacation 2 weeks ago and went camping at Killens Pond State Park in Felton, Delaware. Now I have been going there for some time, at least the last 10 years if not more. I always love it there and have a great time. I have a pop-up camper and go all out on setting it up with the lights and the whole 9 yards. What I love about Killens is that the staff there couldn't not be anymore nice or more helpfull. They keep the bathhouse really clean and the lady was in there twice in one day washing the floors cause of the rain. And as far as the other campers everyone is so nice and you never have to worry about your stuff or if you needed help with anything all you have to do is ask and someone would be there to help. There is nothing like going away and sitting at a camp site and just relaxing and walking the trails, (of which there are alot) Killens pond is the way to go when you want to camp!!!

The water park is very nice for kids but I will always recall Killens for the picnic areas. My husband and I were married in one of the pavillions. We took a podium down by the water to say our vows and had a wonderful meal in the pavillion. We also love hiking around the lake with various family members.

One of the unsung natural areas on Delmarva. Some delightful hiking trails and areas to boat on. Rent a paddle boat or bring your canoe or kayak.
