“Lovely historic Inn on the way to the beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2013

We stayed at the Brick Hotel last weekend and truly enjoyed our stay. Our room was a good size and everything was perfect: clean, comfortable, modern but with a lot of old charm. There were free beverages and snacks, and even individual bathrobes, in the room - a luxury often found only in 4-5 stars hotels. The owners and staff were extremely nice and helpful. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, but it is particularly convenient to those who are on their way to or from a day at the beach - Rehoboth is about 30-40 minutes drive from the hotel.
The restaurant was a pleasant setting and promising menu - but to match the quality of the hotel, there is room for improvement in the implementation. The staff is really trying hard and deserves training so they can be more professional in that formal environment. The menu is quite diversified (though it takes some doing to locate the dinner part of the menu; hint: it's after the wine list). The food itself unfortunately lacks subtlety. My partner's crab cakes were good but the plate was dominated by sweet potatoes over-cooked and over-powered by the taste of cinnamon. My shrimp ravioli were submerged in a thick white sauce. The ravioli themselves were good but the delicate flavor of the shrimp needs a more judicious sauce. All but one of the desserts are chocolate, and the restaurant doesn't serve espresso.
Overall, our meal was good, but if the same high standards applied to the hotel could be applied to the restaurant - it could have been great.

We stayed at the Brick Hotel last week-end and truly enjoyed our stay. Our room was spacious and everything was perfect: clean, convenient, modern but with a lot of old charm. They even had individual bathrobes - a luxury often found only in 4-5 stars hotels. The owners and staff were extremely nice and helpful and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

As per the restaurant, it was also nice but not great. It is sad because the staff is really trying hard. The a-la-carte menu is quite diversified and looks great. The food itself unfortunately lacks subtlety. My partner's crab cakes were good but the plate was mostly made of a pile of sweet potatoes over-cooked and over-powered by the taste of cinnamon.
My shrimp raviolis were covered with a thick white sauce - so much that we could barely see the raviolis. The raviolis themselves were good but I still wonder if the sauce was supposed to be a bechamel, a mornay or a cheese sauce. It did not taste much and was totally drowning the delicate flavor of the shrimps.

Overall the meal was good but if the same standards of excellence applied to the hotel would be transferred to the restaurant - it could have been great.

The Brick Hotel On THe Circle, provides all the comforts that visiting guest want to experience. The owners to the housekeeping staff make you feel welcome from arrival to departure. We usually take in a day of shopping but make sure we return to have dinner at the Brick where the food is exceptional and reasonably price. My family and I look forward to our next visit.

I've stayed at a good number of bed and breakfasts and this is definitely my favorite of what one truly is. Now there isn't too much to do within walking distance but the beaches are about a 20 or so minute drive but with a beautiful bar and amazing restaurant with a rooftop lounge area, what more so you need?! The staff is what really set this inn apart and made our trip so memorable! It really feels like you are goin to someone's house to stay because of their hospitality. Make sure you try some killer cocktails from Lisa at the bar! Can't wait to return!

On a trip to visit family in the Milton area we had this hotel recommended to us by the Milton Chamber of Commerce. What a wonderful place to stay. From the moment we checked in until our departure we were treated royally. Lynn and her staff know what they are doing. We look forward to returning again soon.

My husband and I took a trip to visit our daughter and to visit the Dogfish Head Brewery. We chose Brick House On The Circle for the weekend and boy were we glad we did! What a wonderful gem tucked away in Coastal Delaware. From start to finish our stay was a treat. The room was lovely, the staff extremely helpful and charming. We had dinner twice in their unique restaurant. Both times it was outstanding. We would recommend this lodging to our friends and family and we will be returning as well.

We stayed there for 2 nights this July. Well designed, very comfortable. Easy to work with, we used it as a launch site to go sailing at Rehoboth. But we did not want to pay the higher prices at Rehoboth. I liked the combo hotel and B&B feel to the whole place. Very professional but not overly intimate like some B*B's.
We enjoyed the restaurant and entertainment on the site and ate there fri night after we arrived.
