The Towers is a great place to stay if you want to visit Delaware's beaches but don't want the hassle of a big crowd. Milton is a little off the beaten track but within an easy drive of Cape Henlopen, Rehoboth, Dewey, Fenwick and even Ocean City Md. Our hosts were gracious and the rooms were comfortable and well appointed. I loved the Victorian decor. I enjoyed a well delicous breakfast every morning on the sun porch. Lovely vacation choice.

Room Tip: I traveled with my sister and we rented the Towers room and the Governors room. These rooms can be r...

My boyfriend and I celebrated our first year as a couple at The Towers. I found it through Tripadvisor and was not disappointed one single bit. We spent quite a bit of time chatting with Dan since his wife was away for the weekend. His passion for the area and the house was evident. The garden was up and coming and the ambiance outside was spectacular. We stayed in the Rapunzel Suite. It was gorgeous. Christopher walked us to each of the rooms as a tour since we were there early on Friday. If you're looking for space, the Rapunzel Suite was the largest of the rooms. It's on the 3rd floor and has a little balcony that you can see from the front of the house. We are already considering a return visit next year and may try for the Birds Nest instead. The room was smaller, but the shower in the Rapunzel Suite has a dormered ceiling...so my 6' 3" bf bumped his head. Only once though. :) It was a 'booked up' weekend but we rarely saw other guests. There was complimentary sherry in the music room every evening and the feeling about the house was always of welcome and comfort. Breakfast was fabulous both mornings we were there. Dan, the owner was very knowledgeable about the area. He helped us plan our activities by suggesting restaurants and local things to do.

It's very well situated for those who like to have something to do with a very short commute. Friday night we spent walking the town. There's a beautiful river in Milford, the Mispillion...that has a wonderful history that you can learn by walking the riverwalk from one end of town to the other. Saturday was a beach day...though we also wanted to do the Farmer's Market in town, which happens every Saturday from 9-1, it was really hot and the beach close to Rehoboth that Dan recommended (Cape Henlopen) was gorgeous. With The Towers only minutes from Rehoboth and Dover, we were never at a loss of things to do. When we came back from the beach Saturday, there was a plate of homemade chocolate chip cookies waiting for us and our bed had been made (which we hadn't been expecting)

This may be an 'anniversary tradition' for us. We missed it as soon as we got home.

Room Tip: in terms of the 3rd floor, The Rapunzel Suite is larger, but the Birds Nest is cooler (on the shady...

When we arrived at The Towers, Dan gave us a tour of this beautiful house. The details inside the home are just beautiful. We stayed in the Towers Room, which was very comfortable and roomy! The breakfast were very good. Our hosts were wonderful people. I just wish they had taken care of the small details like: fresh towels every day, an evening snack, water in fridge, and upkeep of the plumbing [it takes forever for the water to get hot & shower does not drain very well]!

I just spent the best birthday I have ever had at the Towers Bed & Breakfast in Milford Delaware. This beautiful house is perfect for a princess or a queen. The Painted Lady historical pink victorian house is absolutely stunning, inside and out. I was in the Rapuhnzel Suite, 3rd Floor, with a little balcony that overlooks the main street. All of the rooms are equally charming. The entire house is absolutely gorgeous. Rich detailed wood, a music room, a reading room, warm, soft comfortable bedding with luxurious sheets. The house is beautiful and clean and very inviting. Our hosts, Chris and David are gracious, beautiful people. The B&B owners, Sharon and Dan are equally loving and caring. Upon arrival, you are greeted like a long lost relative, then you are shown to your room and left alone - the perfect hosts. Let me stop gushing about the house and talk about the food for a minute.. Breakfast day one - Delicious savory cheesy sage sausage quiche with fresh fruit, strawberries, bananas and oranges and delicious coffee and fresh squeezed juice. Breakfast day two, Warm thick belgian waffles, crispy on the outside, warm and chewy with citrus syrup, strawberries, bananas, apples and homemade whip cream. With crispy bacon and coffee and juice. Going to the Towers is a treat. It is the kind of place you go to when you really love yourself, or someone else. If you want to fal lin love, take them to the Towers. If you want to stay in love, or fall back in love, take them to the Towers. Also, visit the Farmer's Market on Walnut Street on Saturday morning and get tickets to the Riverfront Theater - no matter what is playing, you will have great seats and a great time.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are beatifully adorned with luxurious comforters, warm crsip clean sheets and fluff...

My new bride and I had our wedding in the beautiful garden behind the Towers. It is a perfect location for a small wedding of about 50 people and everything went off without a hitch. Christopher and David were the perfect hosts and were more than accommodating to our needs. We spent two nights in the Birds Nest suite which has a lot of room to move about and an updated bathroom with a walk in shower. The inside of the house is beautiful, historic and the woodwork is stunning to look at. Breakfast was delicious. I wouldn't recommend staying anywhere other than The Towers in downtown Milford.

We stayed in the Rapunzel suite, excellent room to let you hair down :)

The history on the property is fascinating and you really have to see the woodwork in the downstairs rooms to appreciate it, the pictures do not do it justice.

Close enough to the beaches to visit them and enjoy, far enough away to miss the hustle and bustle of the crowds and return to a quiet evening for just the two of us.

We were the first guests of the season here, the place was nice and toasty :)

Room Tip: The Rapunzel Suite was our favorite

About 21 miles from the Delaware beaches, this B&B is tucked away in the small town of Milford. We felt warmly welcomed and well cared for here. The owners and housekeeper made sure we were comfortable in some of the hottest days on record. Great breakfast, cozy rooms, and very clean this is the way you want to rest whenever you travel. We felt the price was affordable, and you can always tell when someone cares about their business and guests. We'd gladly recommend.
