It's hard to find authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Saigon is located in a nondescript strip shopping mall and it's like entering another world when you go through the door. My family had a variety of dishes were all well prepared and reasonably priced. We will definitely return for more exploration of this wonderful Asian cuisine.

Great service and good food, Was visiting family and they wanted us to try this restaurant. Never tried vietnamese food before, but was very satisfied with the selection, price and the taste of the food.

Wonderful food with great flavors. Staff is also very helpful to keep us happy. Not as good as it used to be, however.

We decided to give this restaurant yet another try, even though we had a horrid meal here several years ago. We had hoped the food had improved. We were wrong.

We ordered the scallion and shrimp "pancake" as an appetizer. The pancake, which should be crispy and fresh, was limp and tasted precooked, and since the plate was hot, appeared to have been reheated in a microwave. To add insult to injury, the dipping sauce for the pancake, which should be a clean and tart tasting fish sauce mixture, was so sweet and sugary it was inedible.

I ordered the vegetarian stir fried cabbage, and my husband again ordered the duck. The stir fried cabbage was exactly that . . . cut up cabbage that had been stir fried in the same brown sauce I remembered from our last unfortunate visit. No flavor whatsoever. My husband's so called duck also had the exact same brown sauce, but this time, neither of us could even taste the duck. It could have been duck, it could have been chicken, so lacking in flavor was this dish. The only difference between the meals was that it appeared someone in the kitchen had a very heavy hand with the sugar bowl, since both dishes were overly sweet.

The waitress, who herself was Vietnamese, came over and asked if we wanted to take away our mostly uneaten food. We told her no, the food was terrible, it was over sweetened and not authentic. She said she felt the food was ok, and authentic. After a few more minutes of food talk, she admitted that the kitchen was catering to American tastes by sweetening everything.

Well, this was the last time we will ever come here. If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food you will not find it here.

Authentic Vietnamese dishes, well prepared. Reasonable prices. I wish they'd update the decor, though. Feels a bit like a time warp.
