3 families rented this home for 3 nights in June. The house is beautiful as depicted in pictures but the location is polar opposite. Directly across street is a gun shop with a German Shepherd tied to a chain and an environmental services company that was doing some type of drilling. The lot next door is abandoned and has rusted machinery in it. There are no pictures of surrounding neighborhood, only interior and carefully staged exterior shots.
My friend suffered an open fracture of her wrist when she fell on the treacherous stairs leading to the basement. The ambulance drivers advised us to make sure our doors were locked because it was not a good neighborhood. Although the house itself was incredible, location is important when being at the beach and this felt like we were in a blighted Detroit neighborhood.
The property managers response to her fall was apathetic and showed little concern for guest safety. My son tripped on the stairs and has a 8 inch scratch on his forearm. I almost tripped up at the bottom but fortunately caught myself.
