“Tight space”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

The Delaware Seashore State Park campground has been under massive construction in recent years. The bathrooms/showers have been remodeled and the water stays on and the temp is adjustable. The campsites are VERY CLOSE together weather your tent or trailer camping and there is no shade.
On the plus side you are directly on the inlet and can walk into the bay. Which means great sunsets. There is a short walk to the beach ( under the bridge) which I could imagine would be very long and uncomfortable in 90 degree heat lugging beach equipment. Trailers have water and electric hook-ups which make the fact that you could literally reach out and touch your neighbors camper more tolerable.

This campground is good for short stays and best in at off-peak times as it is not as crowded.

“Great beach”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

Very clean life guarded beach. Free showers and concession stand. Park entrance fees are very reasonable also. Late in the season you normally can see a fair amount of dolphins not too far from the beach. Always a highlight of my beach day!

“Nice beach”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

Loved this beach for its experience without commercialism. Went during the week. Not crowded at all, last week on May. Beautiful weather. Watched dolphins swim. Did not visit snack bar. Restrooms and changing space was ample. Area under construction to add and update camping facilities. Looking forward to coming back to camp. This was my first visit.

“Great Beach!”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

We usually hit the beach up at Cape Henlopen, but decided to come down here and went to the beach via the Southern Inlet area in Delaware Seashore State Park. Really enjoyed it! The beach was fairly crowded as it was Memorial Day weekend, but the beach is so long and wide, there was plenty of room to spread out. Parking is free with your $8 park entrance fee...which is very reasonable. There were nice bathroom facilities and a snack bar. We set up right near the inlet and you could watch the boats come in and out as well. Great family beach!
