The location of the Admiral cannot be beaten. It is a few yards off the boardwalk and right by the Baltimore Ave. entrance to the beach. We were able to park our car the first day we got there and travel only by foot. Many restaurants and activities were in easy walking distance. You are only about a quarter mile from Funland, which is great if you have kids. We were on the 5th floor and had a great view of the ocean. Sunday night there was a concert at the bandstand, but with our door closed it was not too loud. The rooms are not luxurious, but they are clean and comfortable. There is not a private balcony, rather it is set up like a motel. The "hallway" is a shared balcony for each room. The elevator is slow, but we did not find it to be a major problem. The pool is indoors and there is a sundeck right off of it. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: The doors to the first floor rooms are right off of the public sidewalk. The 5th floor rooms gave a great view of the ocean.

Stayed here right before the memorial day weekend for 3 nights and knew that it wasn't a fancy hotel but photos and previous reviews seemed it was fairly updated, clean and convenient to beach. They were not wrong. Our room was on third floor - you could see the beach from the balcony. The room was clean and fairly updated - newer modern bedding, newer vanity in bathroom, new flat screen TV. Everything was in working order and staff was friendly upon check in. The location is great. You walk out and in less than 100 feet you are on the boardwalk. Around the corner is the main street with the bandstand and numerous pizza, french fries, ice cream, etc as well as a few nicer restaurants. Anything you need is within walking distance. It is a little pricey and I'm sure you can stay in a better hotel for a few dollars more but if you are only sleeping and showering in the room you can't beat it for the price if you want to be in that location. We did not use the pool - it looked a little small and not as nice as other hotels but again - you are there for the beach.

Room Tip: ask for room facing front of hotel on higher floor if the view outside is important however you can't really sit outside and see the ocean - you have to stand near the balcony from any room to see it.

Chose this hotel due to ratings and close proximities to area attractions. I must say, our family was not disappointed. VERY clean hotel, VERY friendly staff. It is pricey, but you are paying for location. Rehoboth Beach was a very clean and nice area, but bring $$ as nothing in area is inexpensive. Only elevator was busy during the day. So it is slower. They had 4 wheel luggage carts on main floor to assist in getting luggage from your car to your room. Never ran into parking issues with two levels of parking. There was more room on the bottom level vrs the higher level parking. We would stay here again

Room Tip: Ask for 5th floor and or side that faces Rehoboth Ave. More sites to see, IE Beach, Town square that has bandstand and people watching!

Although the location is great, the run-down condition of the room, and pool area, lack of amenities, and the unbelievably terrible treatment by the staff make the Admiral not even close to worth the money. It is more like a super 8 motel than a $300/night hotel. On our second night, my husband returned late to the hotel and the evening concierge was extremely rude to him when he couldn't find parking at the hotel, which is supposed to be included free of charge. Then on our third evening, we returned to our uncleaned room at 5pm. When I called to ask when it would be cleaned, the concierge's response was that the cleaning service had left for the day. After asking me twice if we had left the privacy sign on the door, and me responding NO twice, I got angry and told him to fix the problem, not ask me the same question twice. The cleaning service did eventually come back and clean it, but he should have fixed the problem when I first called, not after I had to get angry.
