So glad we stayed here. My family had a wonderful time exploring and just hanging out here. The room was cozy and had a kitchen with everything we needed to prepare meals. There was a fire pit and we roasted marshmallows over a campfire. The ocean was about 20 miles and we managed to make it 1 day but were happy to return to this beautiful property.

Thanks for your great review of the Nature Retreat:) As you know, we are centrally located to everything here on the shore. Please comeback this summer for more fun. We also are just 12 miles from Killens Pond which has a Water Park. This was built by the State about 10 years ago and it has all kinds of water tubes and games. It's not well known as the State does not advertise. The prices are shockingly low!!! Admission is $6 for kids and $8 for adults!!! Concessions are similarly priced. You can take a family of 4 to the water park and have lunch for $50-$60. We used to go frequently. Killens Pond also has canoeing, boating, fishing and trails. Next time you're on the shore, check it out:)

“WOWW! Fireplace, kitchen, hot cookies, cold drinks -”
Reviewed 20 November 2017 for a stay in October 2017

I needed the quiet, feeling nurtured - even pampered!

Cooked in this spotless place was a delight! My puppy & I snuggled in, walked amid fields and forests, and felt utterly restored.

This retreat is a resource I will draw upon in the future. In spring I'll return with my birding friend to watch the great migration.

Thanks for your awesome review of our Nature Retreat. Here is description and its completely accurate: NATURE RETREAT studio space in rural De on farm in the middle of farm country. The suite is bright and contemporary. 1 large (16 X 18) bedroom with Queen bed, pull out sofa and air mattress available. Minimally shared bathroom. Efficiency kitchen with sink, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, hot plate, countertop oven, dishware, wraps, Keurig machine and coffee. Laundry room available, Outdoor Rustic Jet tub and Shower. Look out any window and will see farms, fields, woods and wildlife. Were just 3 miles off Rt 13 but the roads surrounding our home are limited to local traffic. 1-2 cars an hour and usually less. Very safe for walking, jogging and biking.

This wasn't as advertised. This was basically a room in a house. You had to share a bathroom with other roomers. The shower was not working when we got there. We were told that it would be fixed at 8 the next morning. We were told we had to be up at that time because the plumber had to access the bathroom through the room we were sleeping. We could not take a shower that night. The TV in room didn't work. It took 2 hours to fix it.The room was Hot. The owner gave us a 10 inch fan to cool off the room. It took an hour to get to the beach(not because of traffic) that was advertised as being 17 miles away..We were so fed up that we left the next morning and found another place instead of spending 5 days as planned. I wish that I could get my money back because it was a very unenjoyably place.

Were new to this site but well established at AIRBNB where we have over 150 -5 star reviews and a 4.4 overall rating. Here is the ad from the listing and it is completely accurate: NaTUre ReTReaT cozy, private Studio apartment nestled in woods on 80 acre farm. Come to relax and enjoy quality time with family, friends and pets in peaceful countryside. You all will love the many amenities here including our unique Rustic jet tub and shower in the middle of the woods (see pics and description for more info on amenities). You might decide to visit the ocean too. Slaughter Beach is just 17 miles and Rehoboth is 29 miles. Bethany and O.C. 47 & 57 miles. In your case, the TV satellite connection was reestablished for you Asap- within 2 hours of your arrival. The shower you mention was available the first morning of your arrival! Furthermore, it is 1 of 4 available showers. So you never without a shower! Slaughter Beach is 17 miles and Rehoboth is 29 miles. ravel time is dependent on your route, time of day, season and speed. It takes us 35 minutes to drive to Rehoboth on average. Weve been doing this for 2 years and learned that some folks wont be happy no matter what.
