“As it should be!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2014

I have been fortunate to of traveled to many St. Regis around the world. This one has to be one of my favorites. Service is outstanding, everyone is very courteous. Keep in mind that you are in North Miami Beach area. If South Beach (bars, clubs, etc) is your thing then you are about 5-10 minute drive from this property. We liked this area because it is quiet, romantic and relaxing, there is still plenty to do here, just a different Vibe. Room service feels your dining at a restaurant. We got in 4:30PM and we had to wait almost an hour because our room was not ready. We were treated to a drink at the bar while we waited. Once in our room we felt the wait was worth it since the view and the layout of the room was excellent. we had booked a deluxe ocean view and were upgraded to a Grand Deluxe Ocean view room. Basically it was an apartment! full kitchen, washing machine, etc. Sadly no coffee machine... But we had the butler who was kind enough to get us coffee when we needed it. Connecting rooms seem to be available. Your room key is assigned to a specific elevator, and to your floor, no buttons to press. Our Elevator and our floor had only two rooms, very private. No walking miles of corridor to get to your room. Exit your elevator, two steps and you are at your room door. The property also seems to be family oriented. Lots of families from different ages are all around but still feels romantic (next trip we're taking our kids!). The Jefferson's didn't have it this good. Calm and relaxing all around. The only thing that was not present in our room was a work station... yes not all are on vacation. I had to move around the room to get comfortable. I had two balconies to choose from to do my work overlooking the ocean... the agony ;) Wi-Fi seems to work well, they also have wired internet you can connect to from the bedroom phone. Blu-Ray player in the room so the TV can keep the kids busy. Also make sure to speak with the Concierge desk before your arrival, they can give lots of recommendations. Would I return? in a heart beat!

Room Tip: The higher the better! get an ocean view for sure!

Rooms were amazing. Views can be hit or miss.

The service is great, the beach is very private and well maintained.

We only ate lunch here by the pool, and it was very good.

The crowd is the usual Miami people.

Highly recommended.

The St. Regis Bal Harbour was responsible for some of the best service I've ever received at a hotel. The front desk staff have a bit of a chip on their shoulders, but thankfully you only need to deal with them twice in a stay. The rest were amazing! The pool staff especially. They have 2 great pools, an adult only one for a bit more relaxing and you are well taken care of.

The morning exercise programs were great! Out on the beach it was beautiful.

The hotel room doors stick, but the rooms are very well appointed and beautiful.

Mr Jose is for no doubt the best employee of this hotel, he is courteous, nice, always smiling, very attempted to details, knows all guest by name, have always cold water in his hands, very polluted, and the most important, diligent.

Have been going to the St Regis since the opening and few things have changed some have NOT.
First let me commend the Bali beach attendants who are so ubiquitous it's unreal and a special thanks to the St Regis that allows them to come for a year and practice their English whilst working. There is also Rodrigo Beach Manager who also deserves praise, always ensuring guests are happy no matter what the problem is. The rooms specially if you are a SPG Platinum and are upgraded are in all honesty worth the upgrade ( not always the case).
What has not changed is check in. OMG i it's even worse than before. More than 2 different guests checking in at the same time ( there are only 2 desks to take care of it ) it's total panic and chaos, you are left in a queue that takes FOREVER with a mix of guests waiting everywhere, staff that comes and go in front of you as in our case they look extremely uncomfortable but do nothing to appease a certain loss of patience. Seeing how the St Regis Mauritius handles multiple guests at the same time could be a useful lesson. . PLEASE do something about it!

Room Tip: top floor if you dont' want to hear noise

The St. Regis at Bal Harbour Resort is by far, the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The ocean view from the room was spectacular and the crystal clear water on the beach was breathtaking. They have an adult pool (separate from the kid friendly pool) where John and Ponde have great customer service, thank you guys! The Fresco bar outside serves lunch, we recommend the truffle fries and fish tacos. Pedro Infante, the general manager at the J&G Restaurant was extremely gracious and kind enough to take our picture and bring my husband a birthday dessert. Thank you so much to Karina at reception for her help during our stay and the rest of the front office team along with Jose Sanchez. Overall the service from the second you walk in until you leave is outstanding, they really make you feel like you’re their most valuable guest. We’ll definitely be back!

Room Tip: The Deluxe Ocean View Suite has its own entrance from the elevator separate from the other guests wh...
