“The Waiter is the attraction”

If you have the chance of visiting Miami, don't miss the chance of visiting Carpaccio Restaurant, at Bal Harbour Shops. Food and service is excelente, for a fair price. But the nicest thing about it is Tam (Attanasio), the kindly Greek waiter. Ask to sit outside and to be served by Tam. He is one of the most gentle and kind person I've ever met. Ask him to explain you the menu and to give his suggestions. I'm certain you'll be very impressed by his knowledge and kindness.
Since I've met him, I've been back for three times, only to be served by Tam.

“A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 March 2014

We had lunch at Carpaccio yesterday -- we were in Florida very briefly to check on our elderly parents -- arriving at a little after noon. While the food was good, the service was absolutely awful -- they hurried us through everything and finally with one of us still eating, they removed all the plates and silverware -- they even tried to remove the plate of the person who was still eating. We were not happy and will never go back to Carpaccio again though, previous to this, we had been there for lunch and dinner many times. When we left the restaurant we noted that there was a very long line of people waiting to be seated which was of course the reason why they were trying to push us out.

“Not worth the wait”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 March 2014

The service at this restaurant is excellent-it's the food that disappointed us and the overcrowded noisy dining area. Our waiter was professional, courteous and knew the menu. Sadly we were squeezed tight and the setting was more cafeteria like than fine dining. We waited with great expectation for what we thought would be outstanding food given the wait, but were disappointed by the heavy butter and oil laden dishes. The featured salad with tomatoes was smothered by a giant ball of mozzarella, the artichoke hearts were heavy and greasy, the pasta was drowned in cream sauce. We had expected something prepared more in the modern and light style.

“Very good italian restaurant”

A long wait, the restaurant do not take reservations even if it's a special occasion. If you are staying at the St Regis may help. one of the privileges of the hotel concierge. We ordered carpaccio with portobello mushroom,a pizza, smoked mozzarella, spicy pancetta, peppercorn steak, I think the gluten free pasta was undercook.
Generally speaking this restaurant has good food. We recommend it and conveniently located across street of the St Regis.
