Have been there over 3 times in various seasons. First time visiting was right during the dead season so some restaurants were open and hours were at owners discretion. If you like peacefulness in extreme, go at this time and you'll run into the maintenance crew.
During the regular season, its extremely beautiful and a paradise without a flight ticket. Everything was in biking distance. Specialized asphalt lanes for golf carts! Amazing food at every restaurant but very expensive as with anything you'll find on the island so pack what you need and go grocery shopping once. Plan your day based on weather, tide schedule etc.. We'd do a great breakfast, early swim at the pool, do some walking/biking and work up a sweat for a great lunch (The Loose Caboose is a MUST). Explore and you'll find small hidden pathways, beautiful plants, gorgeous mansions to view. Beach goer: it's clear water with calm waves so you can go shoulder deep and hunt for STARSHELLS.More
