“Pleasant property, friendly staff”
Reviewed 29 November 2013

We stayed overnight after a long flight to Miami. The welcome was friendly, the room pleasant, and the hotel as a whole very well maintained. We were impressed that every employee not merely did their job, but did it happily.
Despite the staff, however, we found the hotel itself rather impersonal and the corridors and rooms were quite stark, lots of white - almost institutional.
My wife and I prefer staying at the Resort Hotel itself, part of the same complex but across the lagoon, which has more character.

Room Tip: Unless being close to sea is important to you, or you really want the sea view, consider staying at...

I was here for a work conference ( husbands) and the resort was quite nice and the grounds were well maintaned. The beach and pools were fabulous and the food great as well. be prepared to be surrounded by money talkers but if you can tune out the yach heads and trust fund babies the resort itsself is a dream.

Room was a bit odd int he way it was heated /cooled. It was either cold or mugguy but it couldve been me. Bed was AMAZINGLY comfortable! Bathroom could use updates and had some molding cracks etc. Room servic eis over priced. Plenty of places nearby to walk too or cab it.
The best part of the hotel was the sweat shop in the lobby. GREAT breakfast sandwhiches and bagels there or pool snacks to go! SAved me a lot of money. The buffet breakfast was like $30 pp!

Room Tip: dont stay in cloisters get The tower or yacht club

One of the nicest places we've ever stayed in terms of guest service and treatment. No requests were a problem and everything was perfect. The staff could not do enough for you. The resort has an understated elegance which made us feel comfortable rather then too fancy as I might envision at a Waldorf Astoria Collection property. The room was the same, elegant, understated, but functionally luxurious.

You can get annoyed waiting for elevators in some hotels. In this one when you pushed the button both elevators charge towards your floor at the same time. Obviously set to do that.

We liked the multiple pools for adults vs kids and the beach area was fairly private and peaceful. We loved our dinner at Lucca at the related main resort and got a kick out of the pink ice ice skating rink there for the holidays. But we like the beach so we'll stay here and take the shuttle over to the Boca Resort for dinner. Wish we would have got to try some of the others restaurants on site.

Improvements we'd like: A small refrigerator in the room rather than the tiny service bar. We have food allergies and can't eat the hotel breakfasts. It would be nice to be able to keep a couple things we need cold during the week long stay.

Room Tip: be sure to try some of the hotels restaurants as this is not just a hotel resort, but a private club...

I was there for several days of meetings and rally have nothing to complain about. Service, rooms, amenities and food were all exactly what you would expect from a top resort hotel. The limited free time I had allowed me to spend a little time at the pool as well as enjoy a top notch beach experience.

We had the pleasure of attending a wedding at the Boca Beach Club in March, took the kids in August & now went for a romantic getaway. And all three were wonderful. The beach is simply beautiful & the view from our ocean view room was amazing. We left the door open to hear the surf. We had rain one day but hung out at the beach bar. The bar tenders are all so nice especially Manuela & Lee. We are already planning our trip for next year!

Room Tip: Go for ocean view. These room truly have a full on water view and are worth the upgrade.

Great hotel!! Employees were over the top helpful and the location was perfect for the beach and getting to downtown Boca. Food was very good, even the little restaurant had an interesting menu. On leaving my husband commented he would go back.

This hotel is definitely a great place to stay. The location was wonderful and getting back and forth from each of the 2 hotels was simple and easy. Our experience was great with a couple of items that definitely needed attention, those are as listed below: There was a chair in our room that was torn and simply covered with a soft plastic covering. Why would they not replace this chair, the hotel is very well kept up and we were totally surprised about this fix to the chair that they made instead of replacing the chair. For the prices that are charged for this hotel there is no reason for this to happen. The pool bar/restaurant was nice. The service was marginal at best. There were birds crapping on the tables and none of the staff were taking care of this problem and just letting it sit there without cleaning the mess up. We ordered an appetizer and sandwich while there, it took the waiter a long time to return with the appetizer and we were about to get up and go some where else when the appetizer finally arrived so we stayed. I'm a transplant patient of a kidney and pancreas and my partner always checks all the food prior to me consuming it. In this instance the appetizer came with vegetables and different bread products. My partner checked the bread and found mold on it. When the server returned with our sandwich we mentioned it to him. Later he returned to our table and told us that he mentioned it to the kitchen manager and he told the waiter it was just flour and not mold. My partner is in the nutrition field and she checked it several times and was sure that it wasn't flour, but instead mold. They acted as it weren't such a big deal, while instead it totally was a big deal. A 5 star hotel shouldn't be serving bread that has mold on it, instead they should have a person checking every thing that leaves the kitchen to be sure that this doesn't happen. Other than those two items every thing else was great. It has two hotels, one on the beach and the main hotel just across the intercoastal. The transportation back and forth was great and while we didn't stay at the main hotel we traveled to the main hotel to look around. It was beautiful and very well kept up. The staff was amazing and went out of there way to make our stay a good one. The food in general was acceptable, but nothing to write home about. The cost were on the high side, but not crazy, definitely not a place for the average family to stay because of the cost. The hotel we stayed at was on the ocean and the view was great. It took only several minutes to get from our room to the beach. The hotel is the only one on the ocean in Boca Raton and the water was warm andvery clean. Overall I would rate this hotel highly with the exception of the items listed above. They definitely need to pay more attention to food they are serving, the furniture and the birds crapping on the tables at outside eating and drinking locations.
