I travel a lot and stay as much as possible at Marriott properties because of their consistency in reasonable quality at reasonable business prices. But once in a while, you come across a room that may not have been renovated or used for a while so the standard dips a little. How a property handles that makes all the difference.
My first room was sub-par and when I expressed my concern, Anne-Marie at the front desk handled it with professionalism, grace, and complete focus on rectifying the situation. I was quickly changed rooms and offered compensation for the inconvenience. The second room was exactly the quality I come to expect from SpringHill Suites continent-wide. This is a standard SpringHill suites with nice, well-appointed clean rooms (mostly!), a good complimentary breakfast, a good gym, plenty of free parking and good Wi-Fi. But best of all, they are customer oriented with a focus on making up for any shortcomings. And in my well travelled book, this last item counts for a lot.More
