From the outside the building doesn't look like much, the landscaping is nice but nothing really stands out. Ha! Don't judge a book by its cover! They have managed to successfully combine a contemporary look with that lazy beach feel. It will let you mix business with pleasure and no stress involved.

The lobby is elegant and comfy at the same time. When we checked in we were greeted with a glass of champagne with our room key as well as polite, pleasant professional staff.

We had one of the suites (see pics) and it was the best of both worlds. We had all the basic techno stuff mixed with all the comforts of home; plus some. The entry way was inviting and practical at the same time. Nice ceramic tile (no sand in the carpet) with a spot to put all your beach gear and a bathroom you can get to without walking on the carpet, smart thinking. The bathroom off the living room has a toilet, shower stall; sink and for some strange reason; access to the balcony. Great for the kids or a quick rinse after the beach.

The kitchen area had a nice round kitchen table that seats 4, sink, coffee maker and mini fridge in the cabinet (a microwave would have made it perfect). In the living room, there's a nice size flat screen and balcony. And of course the usual couch (I believe it is a sofa bed), chair and a few round end tables.

The bedroom has a closing door for extra privacy ;) as well as it's own bathroom, coffee maker and mini fridge. The bathroom is nice enough but it has a partition between the toilet and the rest of the bathroom. I thought it was a sliding door; which would have been nicer no biggie. Overall it was well equipped and nice sized. The bedroom has a decent size desk and chair, a lounge chair with a small table, night stands and entertainment center (with all the hook ups built in) as well as a separate balcony that had no furniture for some reason but the bed was nice and comfy.

The grounds are beautiful and there is a lot to see (see even more pics) with plenty to do. From rockwall climbing, golfing, fishing to waterslides and of course the spa. Something for everyone. Lots of cozy little spots to sit and relax; the wi-fi is everywhere so staying connected with no disruptions is easy

We were there for a conference and sampled plenty of their banquet food. I wasn't thrilled to see birds hovering around uncovered fruit at breakfast or uncovered food at dinner (buffet style dinner) making everything cold. I think if it would have been presented differently it would have been very tasty because despite it being cold I was hungry and sampled what I could and t had some good flavors.

Overall I would recommend it because if you're creative you could do it with your family on a budget; splurge on a suite and still not break the bank. The location and the grounds make it worthwhile.

I recently spent a romantic weekend at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point and, overall, had an excellent stay. I'll definitely be back but there were a few nitpicky issues that I would like to raise below.

The good:
-Clean rooms appear to have been renovated recently. My room was very quiet. Everything in the room worked. Great view from the balcony.
-Loved the pools! Plenty of chairs in the shade - never had a hard time finding a place to relax.
-The semi-private beach is a nice touch and only a short boat ride away. Consider bringing your own umbrella as the hotel doesn't put umbrellas out on windy days and there's not much shade on the beach.

Could Use Some Improvement:
-No coolers at the pool? Pool rules be damned!
-Request a complimentary bottle of champagne upon check in. Not sure why I didn't get mine.
-Poor service at the Corkscrew restaurant
-The breakfast at the Regency Club was disappointing (yet free!)
-Room keys stopped working on last day despite late check out.

Despite these minor inconveniences, I can't wait for another relaxing weekend at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort. We're very happy that you enjoyed your accommodations and the amenities at the resort. Our secluded island and beach is a favorite with all of our guests. We appreciate you sharing with us areas where we may improve on the guest experience. We're looking forward to welcoming you both back to the resort very soon.

The beaches are wonderful clean a bit Shelly to walk the waters in the gulf are merky not like the blue in the Atlantic. The issues we had were getting to the beach the hotel management needs to do something about the transportation for the guests. The boat only allows 49 passengers at an hour at a time leaving behind 20 needed to wait for an additional hour. Why not have two boats every hour to allow everyone to enjoy there vacation. In addition the first boat leaves at 9:45 a bit late why not earlier. We were at the beach when all of a sudden a lighting storm hit and only one boat again

On behalf of our Management Team, please accept our sincere apology for the transportation delays you encountered when going to the private island. The beach ownership is partnered between our hotel and another prominent area community, which operates the boat shuttle service to the beach. We are sorry that their schedule failed to meet your expectations when gaining access to the beach. With that being said, the shuttle operating hours are regulated by the Coast Guard and not in our control. However, please know that we value your comments and will be sharing your suggestions to add another boat during peak periods to prevent future disappointments for our guests.

We hope to regain your faith in Hyatt Hotels & Resorts for a future visit.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point from 6/14/14 to 6/18/14 and had a great time. The resort is beautiful and staff very friendly. We were able to use the pools and lazy river at the Hyatt Plantation next door as well. Lenita was so helpful and wonderful. We will be back.

Excellent location in a beautiful area. We were here for a wedding and spent four days enjoying every minute. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Room was great. Had a balcony with a fantastic view. Wedding went off without a hitch and the entire party was very impressed with the Hyatt and it's staff. Highly recommend.

We just returned home from spending three days at the resort. As soon as we checked in
the customer service kicked in and throughout the trip was some of the finest we have ever encountered (and we have stayed at many 5 star hotels). The facilities are top notch, clean and comfortable. Everywhere we turned someone from the staff was there to cater to our every need. In fact, one day when I was sitting by the pool I ordered a Ginger Ale because I was not feeling well...it started to rain and everyone left the pool area expect for me and my family...we sat under an umbrella to wait out the sudden storm. Next thing I know a supervisor in a yellow rain slicker comes over with my drink.I could not believe it! The thougtfulness and care they showed us along with the amemities contributed to a wonderful stay and we look forward to coming back in the future.
