Booked for 2 weeks because of high reviews. Arrived and were very disappointed. Rust all over stove and refrigerator, air conditioner spewing out black dirt, spare bedding smelled terrible. Unit not very clean. North cottages seem a little better, South cottages not so good. In dire need of total refurbish. Management did try to address the issues as best they could. There are many better choices for less money....look around before booking. We did and will stay for one month next year in a different location. Anna Maria Island is a wonderful place.

Room Tip: On line photos of cottages are not representative of actual. Photos on line are old....when updates...

In response to our recent guest, we remember them very well. Upon receiving their complaint, our general manager met with them to determine what could be done to make their stay better. The issues the guests had were addressed & handled as promptly as possible. It is always our desire to make all our guests feel comfortable & have a wonderful vacation with us; and we pride ourselves on our well-kept & clean accommodations at the Tradewinds Resort. This guest told us he was going to write a bad TripAdvisor even after we corrected issues he had. We did everything we could to make everything just the way the guest wanted it; and hope that our efforts made his stay better.

We enjoyed our second stay at Tradewinds. The property is meticulously maintained and managed. We stayed in a south cottage to save money but the north cottages would have been nicer because it was cool during our January stay and the north cottages are sunnier. Every cottage has a porch and I would have loved to sat in the sun. My only dislike is that you face the parking lot unless you are in the expensive Tampa Bay side cottage. There are quieter locations on the island that we may consider in a future visit.
They always have plenty of dogs being pet friendly. I wish we could take our doggie out on their pier and the Anna Maria beaches.

Room Tip: North cottages away from the road would be nicer.

I stayed here for a week with my mother and an infant. The prices here are very reasonable and lower rates than the majority of comparable accommodations on Anna Maria Island. Our room was clean and had everything we would need for a short stay. The kitchenette and bathroom were both well stocked, and housekeeping replenished supplies and towels, as well as washed our floors and cleaned up daily. We did not pay extra for this service and based on other reviews it was unexpected and greatly appreciated. The views from the pool area on the harbor were beautiful. The resort was quiet and well maintained with gorgeous landscaping and nice sitting areas with tables and benches outside between each building. The "cottages" are actually 3 units in each small building. If you stayed next to a loud group you would definitely hear them as the sound traveled easily between the dividing walls. Something I didn't care for is that if you stayed in a one bedroom and used the pull out couch to accommodate additional people, the bathroom cannot be accessed without entering the bedroom, which limits the amount of privacy you could have. Also, the grills that are available are the kind you would find on a camp ground. They are open and require charcoal and other supplies you would need to bring. We actually went grocery shopping prior to arriving thinking we would have access to an easier to use grill, maybe propane, or at least the supplies you would need to operate the grill would be there. To our dismay we did not use the grill, as we did not see a point in purchasing charcoal and other necessities to utilize it. If they market the resort as having a grill, it is assumed that it would be ready to use. All in all, we would certainly stay here again and recommend this resort.

We LOVED it here, in the middle of condo developments there is this road off the main drag with cottages either side. We stayed in #31 in the middle of the south row. Walk west and across the street, you're at the beach, walk east to the properties pool and your at the bay side. Free trolleys run the 7 mile length of the island so you never need to get in the car. Tradewinds was charming, super clean, fair priced for the island and very comfortable. They take dogs in some units. Hope to be back here.

Room Tip: We liked being in the center of the row to avoid highway or bridge traffic noise either side. The n...

We booked an extended stay at Tradewinds on Bradenton Beach by finding this resort on Bringfido.com. We were looking for a nice, clean, convenient place to stay that accepted large dogs. After reading raving reviews about their amenities, we booked our vacation in the North Cottages. For a 1 bedroom, it is quite roomy & the walk-in closet is great to hide/store luggage, etc. Our main concern was safety, cleanliness & a nice comfy bed-all were A+++! There was even room for a large dog kennel in the bedroom, since one dog prefers her kennel. The TV in the bedroom was a pleasant surprise; I even brought my ROKU & hooked it up in the bedroom to play our Netflix subscription. The wireless internet was great, the free laundry facilities were both convenient & affordable (free). We brought our bicycles & were so glad we did; be sure to check out the Robinson Nature Preserve. There is so much to do and see on this island, and Tradewinds Resort is right in the middle of everything! Thank you Tradewinds! See you next time.

Room Tip: Rooms on the north side are larger & have a large walk-in closet

We have reserved Tradewinds in Bradenton on two occasions. This time we had a two bedroom suite with a peaceful view over the intracoastal waterway from the huge deck. The full kitchen had new appliances. The overall standard of cleanliness was excellent. The bed was comfortable, and the bedroom was quiet. Although we were too busy to enjoy the beach, we know that the access is easy and it is a lovely area. I cannot think of any reason we would not reserve Tradewinds for all our stays visiting family in the Bradenton area.

A few years ago our sons stayed in a one-bedroom cottage while visiting their grandmother, and found it equally charming and reasonable.

Room Tip: Rooms closer to the intracoastal waterway might be quieter than those close to the road.

Just want to let everyone know what a quaint and wonderful time we had at the Tradewinds on Anna Maria Island. We were in town for a wedding and had a great time in large part to the location and accommodations provided by Tradewinds. The room was cozy and very well equipped much like a small apartment. Thanks so much. We'll definitely be back.

Room Tip: Not a bad room in the place.
