The smoakhouse ranch was wonderful from beginning to end, it's a home away from home. The owners Tim and Emily were wonderful too, not to mention Gina she made sure we had everything. we've already made reservations for thanksgiving, but this time for the Earl cabin (we stayed at the farmhouse). The cabin is historic with original fixtures, we took a tour and pictures, and is pet friendly also. I recommend end this place totally if you like ranch living, you will love every minute of it. Thank you again Tim, Emily, and Gina for your hospitality!!! the Gonzalez Family from Miami..

We were immediately at home from the moment we arrived at The Farmhouse at Smoakhouse Ranch. Tim, Emily and Angela made certain everyday of our stay to our comfort by their attention to details Every evening we were left a log to burn which we grew to anticipate and enjoy before retiring. We were fortunate to witness a birth of a new calf one of the days we were there as well as see the Momma cow take care of her newborn baby. All the animals had their own personalities even though we only gathered a few of their names....Babycakes and Emily! The donkeys were the cutest ones with their plea for the pet snacks which we were supplied everyday! The flock of chickens enjoyed leftover pasta we shared with them all one day....a gift for all the fresh eggs they supplied us everyday for breakfast...yum yum....as well as fresh fruit and cererals and juices.

Room Tip: Rooms out in nature bring the harmony people are looking for

We have had the extreme pleasure of staying at the Smoakhouse Ranch for two Christmases now, and in the summer and late fall, and every stay is exceptional! the cabins are very well appointed - just absolutely cozy and comfy - everything is top notch from the furnishings (that bed in the Earl Cabin is the most comfortable we have ever slept in, and that's including 5 stars we have stayed in) to the linens, towels and the amenities such as the stocked fridges and pantries! The innkeepers go way and beyond the "call of duty" to make sure your stay is comfortable, And who doesnt love the silence and tranquility that comes with being out on the ranch in one of the most lovely and underrated areas of Florida. Just LOVE LOVE LOVE the Smoakhouse Ranch!

Room Tip: The Earl Cabin is really rustic but very charming and comfortable - whether its summer or winter. Th...

We were just there for Thanksgiving weekend and had a wonderful time. Despite showing up on the holiday, Tim and Emily provided a warm welcome to us. Their neice was in town helping out, too. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. We stayed in the Earl cabin. It had all the comforts of home and a bed to beat any you would find in a "cabin". We had a good time walking the property and feeding the animals the Cow Cookies. Within an easy drive are several charming towns and beautiful springs and rivers. It's a great place to unwind.

Room Tip: The Earl cabin is designed and outfitted like an original homesteader cabin but has all the modern c...

We had group of family and friends that stayed in the farmhouse over the Labor Day Weekend using it as a base for some of the local springs and had a great time. Not fancy, but clean, comfortable and homey. Emily was very helpful in guiding us about the local area and pointing out all the things to do there. The refrigerator stocked with breakfast items was a nice touch. We made good use of the pool and hot tub and the kids had a blast roaming around and feeding the animals.

Room Tip: The farmhouse was great, but the Earl cabin looked interesting also.

I couldn't just tell you one thing that was great about this place, they whole stay from beginning to end was just above all expectations. We arrived late at night, about 12am, and the owner, Mrs. Emily, was nice enough to wait up for us and even came to meet us to guild us down the dark country road, thankfully!! We arrived to warm cozy beds, juice, cookies, muffins, and eggs, all stocked in the fridge for us. The animals were amazing and friendly, my son (8months) and daughter (4years) had no problem feeding them, they walked right up to us too, we didn't have to coax them, like other places we've been. There was just so many great things I can tell you about The Smoakhouse Ranch, and we've only been this once!! But we will be coming back!!!!

We had a really nice stay at the Smoakhouse Ranch. The cabin was very nice, the jacuzzi and pool were good and we enjoyed the relaxing time there very much. The use of the BBQ area is also possible and we could also feed the donkey, cows and other animals.
The owners were very friendly and helpful, gave us good advice to visit the region. It was really amazing! If we will go to Florida another time, we would definately visit the Smoakhouse again.
