My husband and I had some time to kill when taking my sister to a dental surgery appointment in Bushnell and so we looked for places of interest online and discovered this wonderful historical site in a beautiful setting. The park rangers were more than gracious and so knowledgeable about our country's history and walked with us through the small, but amazing Seminole war museum plus there was an added bonus of a 12 minute film depicting the battle where over 100 soldiers were killed by the Seminole on this very spot. It was enlightening to say the least and we plan on going back in January 2014 to see the annual re-enactment. Another little bonus was going to a local restaurant for breakfast called the OddcupleCafe - we always like to try a place where the locals dine and this was a nice breakfast spot.
