Great campground right off the beach. The ocean is very calm as the jetty blocks the rough waves. You can see cruise ships go out to sea from the beach which is really cool. We will definitely be going back and spending more time at the campground and beach.

We went to Cocoa Beach a few days before Jetty Park, and overall found Jetty to be a much better spot. The waves were a little bit smaller, but still plenty big for some boogie boarding and body surfing. What makes this spot better is the fact that the water is much calmer and clearer, which makes it better for small kids. In addition, the sand itself is much whiter.

Jetty Park does cost $15 per car to enter the park, which is certainly annoying. However, you do get a very nice clean and updated bathroom and some nice showers (with good water pressure) for the cost.

Another cool feature of this beach is the fact that it is right next to the harbor entrance at Port Canaveral, so you get to watch the large boats come in and out of the harbor while you play. My kids got a big kick out of this, and it was neat to watch.

We saw no signs of jellyfish or any other wildlife, and my kids did find a variety of (small) shells during our visit.

Jetty park has a pier to walk out on to fish or view the ocean. It is easy to locate sea turtles and see dolphins in the distance. Also you can swim at a wonderful, white, sandy beach. There is a little store and snacks available. Also, you can walk to the top of the conditioned building to get a better view. Of course, there are also bathrooms. Rentals of umbrellas are also positioned there on the beach. If you need to camp, those facilities are there where you can walk to the beach from your place. You can even watch boats of various sizes go out to sea. Just the perfect place!

If you are looking for a reasonably priced campground on the beach, look no further. Jetty Park has a variety of campsites, from rustic tent sites, to RV sites. The campground is situated on Port Canaveral's south side so watching the cruise ships and boats come and go provides extra entertainment. The beach is the main attraction, though. Because of the jetty with the fishing pier, the waves are weaker than most other east coast beaches and the beach slopes very gradually making the water shallow a LONG way out--a great beach for kids. Bring powerful sunscreen because there is not much shade in the campground, so you will likely spend lots of time in the water. Bathroom and shower facilities were nice and clean and we enjoyed the grassy lawn in the campground allowing us to spend most of our time barefoot. Community campfire pits and covered picnic pavilions are other features you will enjoy.

Camped here with family of 4. Great location to watch cruise ships departing and arriving. Also great area for fishing, especially along pier. Campground is only few steps to beach. Beach area has a snack bar. (Never tried it) Campground store has everything needed from supplies to souvenirs. Very friendly staff. Only complaint was that RV spots are too close together and paved pads are too small. When it rained, sand/dirt outside of RV door flooded. Would camp here again though.
