“Excellent!”
Reviewed 29 May 2013

The rooms are beautiful, we had a room with a full kitchen and living room. The kitchen had granite countertops and stainless appliances. The living room and bedroom had a connecting lanai through glass doors overlooking the water. The staff is wonderful, very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was good.
We travel frequently and this is my absolute favorite hotel to date!

Room Tip: Everyone in our group loved their rooms and I think all the rooms have great views of the water.

Only thing it lacked was a sandy beach and closer access to a freeway. The pool is a little small for a resort this size with no where else to swim (safely).

Resteraunts were nice, clean, tasty however slightly expensive. Par for the course at a resort though. Amelia at Marker 92 was great!

Very clean overall and great staff. We'll be back!

PS...went for a 6 hour boat ride. It was supposed to be a tarpon charter. Beware the hotel set us up with a captain but he knew full well that the tarpon weren't biting a few days leading up to and after a full moon. We chartered the boat one day before the full moon but the captain didnt tell us the odds until we were on the water. There went $400 with no tarpon hooked or even seen! Anglers beware...hotel should know these facts in the tarpon capital of the world.

Dear indialuver,

I appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your recent stay and i will be certain to let Amelia and her supervisor know of your praises.

I apologize that you were not informed of the 2 additional pools we have here on the resort for our hotel guests. I hope that next time you return you will be able to take advantage of these amenities. In regards to fishing, I believe you went out with a guide the marina suggested when they were made aware you were looking for Tarpon. While they are not managed by our Westin staff, I will be certain to bring this concern to their attention since it does affect our resort guests when they are not satisfied.

All in all I hope that you enjoyed your stay and I look forward to your next stay with us.

Be well,
Eric Ashton

Last minute pick for memorial weekend but so glad we stayed! Had the 2 bedroom suite and was wonderful! Full kitchen with supplies slso washer and dryer! Living room and dining area and full screened in porch! Staff was fantastic! The bell staff was so friendly like they were old friends. The pool area was nice they had a DJ that also had fun games for adults and kids. Food and drink prices were very reasonable and they were very friendly as well. There is a marina onsite where you can rent kayaks or boats for the day. Only complaint was their Marker 92 restaurant and the food and service was terrible almost hour wait for breakfast and it wasn't crowned and got food cold. But plenty of places in town you can go. Overall great place for a nice get away they also have bicycles to use for free a really nice time for all!

I stayed here on a whim and honestly, I can't say enough about what a fantastic stay I had. And I never gush about anything unreservedly.

The Westin Cape Coral is a recent addition, and inland, so it was a terrific value compared to the Westin in Fort Lauderdale. I could reserve a one-bedroom suite with a balcony for practically nothing. So I thought, OK, sure.

From the moment I pulled into the complex, fairly late on a Friday night, I was absolutely blown away. It was beautifully polished and cleaned, with a lovely little restaurant on the ground floor (Marker 92) and an outdoor bar by the pool (the Nauti Mermaid). It's not trendy enough to be a Luxury Collection hotel, but it was really lovely and beautifully well appointed at any price.

My room was on the top floor of the north wing, and in the morning, I watched the sun rise over the Everglades through the windows facing eastward. Then, in the afternoons, when the sun wasn't shining directly into the east-facing balcony, I sat out there and read in the peaceful quiet overlooking the Caloosahatchee River, much better than being by the pool with noisy children and rowdy adolescents.

As I mentioned, my room was a suite, and a well-appointed one at that. It was 75% the size of my home! The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, even a toaster.

I think the single biggest mark against this hotel is that the location, while beautiful, is a bit of a drag. It's at the Tarpon Point Marina complex, in a fairly isolated part of Cape Coral, and the businesses that were there have clearly failed due to the gigantic bust of the Southwest Florida housing market. Empty storefronts line the promenade along the riverfront. The only restaurant in the whole complex was Marker 92. So you're going to have to expect to go a long way to get anywhere: the beach, most restaurants, even the grocery store.

There's a water taxi to Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel, but it only runs once in either direction, so you're committed to spending from 11 to 2:30 at the beach.

Next time I plan to stay longer and take advantage of the kayak and bicycle rentals.

All in all, I just can't say enough positive things about this hotel. There are a handful of hotels I go back to when I can, like the Westin Fort Lauderdale, and this is definitely going on the list.

Room Tip: Suites in the north wing have an east-facing view of the Caloosahatchee River. From a higher floor...

Room was spectacular! Lots of space. View was terrific. Internet was a joke and too much trouble. Front desk said "you must be using an Apple product"...we were not! Restaurant is beautifully appointed but staff was mediocre and slow...we waited 30 minutes for our lunch so we ate out the rest of our stay. It was a holiday weekend and there was not enough staff to handle a full hotel. Pool was way too crowded so we didn't bother. It was a staycation and we wanted to arrive via our boat but the additional charge was exorbitant so we drove. There was trash and cigarette butts at the elevator landing on our floor that was there when we arrived and still there when we checked out. It is a four star hotel with a three star staff.

We had stayed here before Westin took it over and was very happy to learn of their plans being an SPG member. This fabulous resort is even better under the Starwood flag. The great management is evident in the warm, friendly staff. Mike, the ever enthusiastic greater/ bellman is still here from before becoming a Westin and he is so willing to help in anyway he can. Check-in was started as soon as you get out of your car and you are ready to basically just get your keys at the reception desk. Once again, super warm and friendly staff sincerely offering to assist you any time for anything.

Immaculate condo rooms with everything you could need and fantastic view of marina and pool.
Ate at the Nauti mermaid since we didn't want a real dinner that Mile Marker 92 offers. Food and service were as great as the view.

Just a great place to get away and relax. Always an ample supply of towels at the pool and the bar service at the pool was consistent with everything else.

Kudos to the GM Eric. A friendly, pleasant staff from maintenance on up is a reflection of management since that kind of consistency only comes from good management.

We very rarely get a chance to get away and we were so surprised to find ourselves upgraded to a larger condo with a wonderful view. Our thanks to Eric . It was so appreciated. Just the R&R we needed.

Room Tip: The Sanibel /marina view is just wonderful.

We booked this hotel room for two nights with our little shihtzu. He received his own welcome package of a Heavenly Pet Bed & Food & Water Bowls with a mat. We are on the 16th floor & our views are phenomenal from our screened in patio with table & chairs. You can't get a better hotel experience for the money! You don't even need to leave the hotel to have fun! Bring your fur friend & enjoy a weekend away together!
