“Great Hotel”
Reviewed 11 January 2014 via mobile

Hotel was great. We arrived in December, and arrived at the hotel three hours early, and checked into our room then. Room was spacious, and the balcony was very nice. Pool was nice. If you do decide to stay at this hotel, please recognize that a rollaway bed is 25 dollars a night.

This Westin looks almost brand new and the suites with full kitchens and washer/dryers made our week long stay very enjoyable. As a Platinum SPG member, I normally get treated very good at every SPG property, but it was clear that this staff prides themselves in making every guest feel special. The live entertainment and News Years Eve fireworks were especially nice. Our only negative experience was at the unrelated restaurant next door - Pinchers. The hotel did not make the recommendation. We tried it on our own. My advice is to skip that place.

Room Tip: All rooms have good views. The higher up you go, the better they get.

This hotel is beautiful, clean and best of all pet friendly. The staff is fabulous and helpful. The view is beautiful and well worth the reservations. When my customers come in to town to buy a home I suggest they stay here.

We loved this property. The staff was super friendly and attentive, the 1 BR suite was huge and clean, and the view was extraordinary. We stayed two nights between Christmas and New Year's Eve, and truly enjoyed the property.

The beds were truly heavenly, and the shower was exquisite. Fully furnished kitchen along with a full size refrigerator, microwave, full dining table, and a dishwasher. Full length screened in lanai with ceiling fans overlooking the harbour and out over to Sanibel as well.

I'm really confused by some of the previous reviews about "soapy water", unknowledgable staff, slow wifi, etc..... we experienced none of this. The water is certainly treated, and would be what i would consider "soft water". Erika checked us in and took quite a bit of time to explain the perks of the package we had booked and the options of the "green housekeeping" program, as well as the general layout of the facility. We were greeted as SPG members and made to feel like royalty even though I had just signed up when I made the reservation and had zero points and stays. I had ZERO issues with the wifi on the laptop, ipad, and both of our iphones. We used the fitness facility once in our two night stay and found it to be satisfactory. No smells, adequate towels, and plenty of space. However, it's Florida, so we went for our run outside. From the hotel all the way back up to the gated entrance is almost a perfect 1.5 miles which was perfect for our 3 mile run. We saw several other runners and walkers out with us as well.
We never once heard a dog although we saw plenty. We were actually surprised at the number of dogs we saw and we regretted not bringing ours.
There were three bottles of water in our room. Two complimentary Dasani waters and a $4 Smart Water.
We had drinks one night, and the service was a bit slow, but it was what i would consider typical for a hotel. We had breakfast, but it was only muffins and juice as we were on our way to a big luncheon with the family.
We stayed here because it was a bit of a splurge and I'm so thankful that we did. It was a very relaxing environment I would almost certainly stay here again.

I have never visited S.West Floriday and needed a nice hotel so my family could combine a vaction with a family visit. The Westin Cape Coral exceeded my expectations and is a beautiful hotel with very large rooms. In fact, this appears to orininally be a condo timeshare property prior to Westin taking it over. Our room had a full kitchen, dining area. Yes, there is only one pool at the main hotel (2 others short walk away) and there is no beach. However, the location more than made up for that with a wonderful view overlooking the bay, intercoastal waterway and the Marina. I found the staff to be Excellent and all had a positive attitude and eager to help. This is a pet friendly hotel so get used to seeing dogs walking about. The property location made day trips to Sanibel Island and Naples (1 hr drive) pretty convenient. New Years eve was fun, the hotel hosted a local band and put on an Amazing fireworks display. If you need a home base while exploring SW Floriday and want a great room, I highly reccomend this hotel.

Great spot for chilling out and watching boats go by. Central to everywhere in Cape Coral. Staff very attentive and rooms very clean. We also celebrated my wife's birthday with Marker 92 and had wonderful service - best oysters in the Cape! Will stay again until we buy a place here!

I just stayed at the property in a 2BR suite for 5 nights over the New Year. The size of the suite was great for 6 people. We enjoyed having a washer/dryer and a full kitchen. The view from our lanai was beautiful overlooking the water.

Overall, we were happy with our stay. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Cape Coral itself doesn't offer as much to do or as many restaurants as you would find in Ft. Myers or Naples. There were 2 restaurants close to the hotel and a Publix close by but we found ourselves driving 10-15 minutes for dinner every night.

My only complaint of the hotel itself would be the housekeeping. They were inconsistent during our stay. We didn't expect a spotless room everyday but they didn't refill toilet paper or kleenex. We found ourselves calling the front desk constantly to request items that should have been refreshed daily.
