Spent a month there recently. Trailer was immaculately clean. People very friendly and helpful. The fishing was great. Everything in the trailer worked just fine including tv, stove, refrigerator, shower, heater at night and AC in the day. Nice boat launch too. Only negative was no wifi.

We camped here during the Everglades City Seafood Festival, so the park was full. The prior management had messed up our reservation and had us arriving and leaving a day earlier. The new management went above and beyond to make sure that we were not inconvienanced and found a resolution.
The lots are small and very close, most are pretty dusty. That said, we really enjoyed our time there. Our neighbors were friendly and fun. The views are amazing and the sunsets simply gorgeous.
The restrooms were very clean and well maintained. Although there aren't many trees, the management has recently added some plantings to help the overall appearance of the park.
Although we enjoyed our stay and plan to return, this park isn't for everyone. It is pretty basic. But, the location is great and the atmosphere is very laid back.

Far out on the Chokoloskee island and feeling like you are at the end of the world with the sea surrounding you. We viewed both a beautiful sunset and a sunrise. The owner greeted us and made us feel very welcome. He was happy to have us as guests. Perhaps the most special thing with this place is how quiet and relaxing it is.

If you want to travel back in time and get away from the hectic "tourist-y" Florida then make the drive down to Chokoloskee. I go down to Chokoloskee Island Park and Marina 3-5 times a year to camp and fish for 4-5 days. This is the perfect place to get away from it all and connect with nature, whether you're an avid fisherman, bird watcher, or it's just your curosity that brings you down to the Everglades, I highly recommend staying here! The owners and manager make you feel right at home, other residents will welcome you with open arms and you will leave there with a few more friends. Make sure to watch the sunset from either the dock or the chickee there, it's second to none!

OOPS! (Cats out of the bag now!)

Seriously,

I'm torn to say more for selfish reasons. ;-)

But, It wouldn't be fair to the owners of the property and the outstanding staff they have there that manage and help make the stay there seamless.

My son and I were guests of our neighbors twice in the last two months and we both look forward to the next visit. The fishing is great and the people that visit there are second to none!
