Chokoloskee Island Park and Marina
Reviewed 23 July 2014 via mobile

My son and I came and stayed at the park for 3 days and two nights. The units are newly renovated and are as nice as any 3 or 4 star hotel I've stayed in. The office has a consistent store of live shrimp and at $3.50 a dozen you can't beat it. The option to keep your boat at the marina or the unit is great. The only thing I can possibly find to complain about the place is my own inability as a fisherman ;). The well working AC was very welcomed and was surprised to see full cooking equipment and a flat screen tv in the unit. All you need is your fishing gear and groceries! Or the oyster house right across the bridge from the island is absolutely amazing and will cook all your fish for you deliciously. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Great job guys!

We just spend two nights with our RV and the campsite was simple perfect. Clean, spacious, all amenities available, the best guest house ever found with comfortable arm-chair, satellite tv, working WiFi and Nintendo Wii. This place is perfect for any Everglade activity, from air boat tours (just few miles from the best one available), fishing tours or eating great food.

Chokoloskee Island Park is a wonderful place, with a good boat launch and docking. Carmen checked us in (she's a treasure) very friendly and helpful. Our cottage was more than I expected , extreamly clean. The fishing in this area of Florida is outstanding. However bring bug spray. With that said.lets get back to fishing. So far, we've caught large snook, trout, red fish and triple tail. Make sure to bring two g.p.s.systems, in case one stops working (L.O.L.). Chokoloskee Island park has fishing guides that will take you out if you don't have a boat(I highly recommend this). You can easily get lost. Carmen recommend several restaurants. Tonight we'll check one out. I can't say enough good things about Chokoloskee Island Park, and the fishing. The folks are efficient and friendly, the park and all facilities are very very clean, and a fun family environment. It grabs a 5 in my book. Good fishing and tight lines.

Just spent four nights here of relaxing and boating. Had a wonderful time and can not wait to go back. Carmen and Sonny were so nice and helpful. Everything was clean and nice...inside and out. Chokoloskee and Everglade city locals are very friendly. We even got 10% off our meal at the Island cafe because we were staying at Island park and Marina! I am telling all of my friends to go enjoy a piece of 'ole' florida before the secret gets out.

Spent two nights and they were almost perfect. Good thing we made reservations because it was full the first night we were there. And this resort is definitely at the end of the road.
Very comfortable and great location. Drinks and dinner at the Chickee is definitely a treat.

Room Tip: we were lucky and got in the first row, facing the bay.

We were a party of 4 and stayed in the self-catering 2 bedroom cottage. It was well equipped, with comfortable sitting room and bedrooms (both with own bathroom). There ws also a lovely enclosed balcony/conservatory room off one of the bedrooms which made an excellent spot to sit out and enjoy breakfast. Welcoming and helpful hosts. We really enjoyed our 2 night stay exploring the Everglades and could have stayed longer!
