“Very friendly but overpriced”
Reviewed 15 August 2011

At $140, even in off season, price was MUCH higher than average given here. The owners were lovely and very helpful. rooms fine but air con inadequate for summer temps. (the muffins however are lovely). Overall, better to stay in everglades city at half the price as it is a nice village (dont let the word city in the name mislead you)

This is a wonderful little motel and Bill was a wonderful host. The room was lovely and clean and more than catered for our needs. The towels were so fluffy and the muffin and fruit basket were great, although as UK residents we weren't used to the noise of the air conditioning!! The local people were extremely friendly. We had only one issue and it wasn't with motel it was the time of year we visited - July - a nightmare for mosquitoes and not something we've encountered before but Bill did let us park directly outside the door of the apartment!

I would thoroughly recommend Parkway Motel and Marina. Explore the area - the people are great!

Our itinerary took us from Fort Myers to Naples thru the Everglades to the Keys, so, Chokoloskee fit geographically. It was neat to be staying out on an island, so far from the regular pulse of busy American life. That, of course, has its pluses and minuses! If you want to explore the WATER of the Everglades, this is a great place to do it. But, the land part of the Everglades requires a drive there and then back...so a little extra driving.
The room was clean and well appointed with a decent size fridge and coffee maker. You can use the microwave in the office, if it's open. The service is friendly. It did seem a little pricey for what you get (during high season, we paid 129/nite for room with 2 beds), but there's not a lot of competition.
We enjoyed the Cuban cafe in town.

Room Tip: They are essentially all the same

I read about this little motel on TripAdvisor and was not disappointed. The motel was immaculate with comfortable mattresses and nestled in the quiet little island town of Chokoloskee. The owners were very helpful in our trip planning both while making reservations and again while we were staying there. We highly recommend getting the muffin basket that included four different homemade organic muffins, juice and fruit. It was wonderful! Geri even gave us a hug when we left. Someone else commented it felt like "home" during their stay there and I would whole-heatedly second that opinion.

This was a sweet little motel. It's in a quiet part of town (actually the town was pretty quiet - they were resting up for the Seafood Festival in the coming weekend) and there is a nice lawn and shade tree right in front. The rooms are very nice and clean with a good size frig and I will definitely recommend the muffin basket. Yummy. We had a great time! Lots of adventures to be had in this area!

We stayed at the Parkway Motel for two nights, and were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are super clean and very spacious. But the best part of our stay was the owners, Bill and Geri. They are wonderfully nice, and took very good care of us. We cannot wait to stay there again next year!

We chose the Parkway Cottage for our lodging for our family reunion on Chokoloskee Island. The accommodations were perfect for our needs -- very clean, comfortable, and large enough for two adult couples. We would definitely recommend it!
