We spent 2 glorious weeks at the luxurious Hyatt on Clearwater Beach beginning July 21. What made the holiday special was the wonderful staff. Upon our arrival we met a lovely young lady by the name of Ashley. She was extremely kind, caring and professional. Ashley offered us cold water and a glass of champagne after learning that we had been on a 16 hour journey from Toronto due to flight delays. We had requested a higher floor in the hotel facing Pier 60 and Ashley put us in a beautiful suite, 1715, the top floor with a fabulous view of the Gulf of Mexico, Pier 60 and the Intercoastal waterway. The view and the suite, a gorgeous efficiency with granite counter tops, a King bed and a 40 inch flat screen, were both breathtaking! During our stay we enlisted the help of the 2 hotel concierge, Dante and Gary. They were both extremely friendly and helpful and knowledgible. We believe one of the best parts of a holiday is dining out and in this regard both Dante and Gary recommended numerous fabulous restaurants. Places where they themselves loved to eat. Food at the Hyatt was excellent in the main dining room and at the bar/ coffee shop. We met a very lovely young lady by the name of Rose who worked at the Hotel Coffee Bar. She was extremely personable and a joy to speak to each morning as we purchased our tea. Overall the hotel was extremely clean and luxurious. Everyone in the hotel including the room service, the cleaning staff and the security staff were all friendly, hard working and very efficient. Overall the hotel had an excellent location, it was extremely clean, luxurious and safe. It was our first time at the Hyatt and we will definitely return. Thanks Ashley, Ryan, Rose, Dante and Gary for a great stay. Cheers! Wayne and Patti from Markham

Had this hotel booked for a week after 2 weeks in Disney, lovely room, well equipped, staff were friendly and helpful, even when dealing with problems caused by our kids, beautiful location, on the beach (well, other side of the road) had a 1 bedroom suite, 2 queensize beds plus sofa bed in sitting area, for a family of 6, sofa bed was a bit uncomfortable but adequate, noise from air conditioning could of been quieter but you learned to tune it out, ate at crabby bills, in the hotel and for an adult night out, without kids at the Beachcomber on mandalay avenue, fantastic food and good wine, good selection of whiskies. lovely pier, beach, nik nak shops. If we could afford it, would definitely go back. Even the false fire alarm at 2.00 am on the Tuesday morning was a mini adventure, and the wife loved the firemen. :)

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency on the second leg of a 3 stop Florida holiday.

Put simply, it was stunning. Our suite was beautiful with ocean and pool views, really large space: lounge, kitchen, balcony and large bedroom with ensuite. We really we pleased.

The hotel itself is great. It's not perfect, but it has a sort of 'laid back' feel that means you feel instantly at home and very welcome.

Everything in the hotel was accessible: sun loungers at the pool, the gym , the restaurants and the bars. It really was the perfect relaxed antidote to the hustle and bustle of Orlando.

Only small comment was the tiles around the pool. They were smooth and when wet quite dangerous. That was the only negative for a great hotel!

Loved the dual balconies in the room - excellent views of the beach & pier 60. But the room itself was very nice! It has a full kitchen, bar area, table inside & on the balcony, and two bathrooms - really nice layout for entertaining.

The property itself is beautifully decorated and in a great location. It's steps away from the pier, shopping, and restaurants. The parking garage ramp & parking spaces are really tight so maneuvering through there gets dicey.

The service was outstanding. Nightly turndowns with chocolates - the best!

Visited Clearwater Beach and stayed at the Hyatt Regency! The Hotel room was great and convenient to the beach and pier 60. They provide towels that you can take to the beach but not chairs or umbrellas. You have to rent them everyday or purchase one for the week from the store next door. We upgraded to the junior suite that provided us with plenty of room and small kitchen. This can come in handy and save you money if you go to the local Publix market to get your basics.
Staff was friendly and service was good. Watch out for extra fees (i.e. tax, resort fee, etc). They can really add up. We would definitely stay here again because we have definitely learned..."you get what you pay for."

Just back from a week at this great hotel. The staff are awesome. Very attentive without being overbearing. The rooms are as good as any I have stayed in anywhere in the world. Very clean, very spacious and there is shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, soap, fresh towels, bottled water, daily newspaper and body wash in the room on a daily basis. We were in room 1403 with a great view of the beach as far as you can see and also across the bay. The restaurant is pricey but hey, your on vacation! $22 for all you can eat breakfast buffet. Dinner in the evening was just okay. There are lots of other restaurants to explore within walking distance. If you want an inexpensive but great meal, I recommend crabby's. Turn left out of the hotel, past 'surf style' where you can surf indoors and at the next block is a crummy looking restaurant with excellent food!.
3 complaints.....air con in the room was centralized and the noisiest ever! Take ear plugs.
The water from the faucet smells like sewage and tastes yucky when you clean your teeth....that's probably why they provide bottled water to drink.
The hotel parking lot is shared by the public and so parking at the weekend is almost impossible....and it's $14 a day.
Clearwater is very commercialized and very busy, so don't expect a beach to yourself...or even a square yard.
We spent a week with our son who is sixteen, in a one bed suite and he slept on the sofa bed. There was enough for us to do as a family in that jet skis are nearby, Busch gardens and the local aquarium is a great visit for the money. Go see Winter the dolphin with his prosthetic tail
I'd definitely stay at this hotel again. It's like being on a really nice cruise ship in a sea of tat.

Room Tip: If you want a better view and less noise from the street, ask for a room on a higher floor. floors r...
