Our first dinner experience in Clearwater Beach and we were NOT dissapointed. The atmosphere was very nice - loved the piano player. Our waiter was super. Shrimp cocktail was excellent. The escargot was just ok. My rainbow trout was very good - but the portion was way too big.

out dated music on piano and an elderly patronage. if that is what you are looking for, you will be happy. The food is good, but heavy

The veal was tough, the fish tasteless, the beefsteak tomatoes in the salad were not ripe, and the asparagus was overcooked. Pretty place, though.

This is a lovely upscale restaurant with excellent food. It is expensive and a little more dressy but well worth the trip every time!

Since being advised that a paleolithic diet could "cure" my Graves Disease I haven't had much luck in restaurants . Most places have to enhance their meat , fish and veg with high -salt fatty sauces . Not so Bob Heilman's Beachcomber ! The waitress was obviously astounded that I requested ALL my food so naked and unadorned but graciously complied nonetheless . I had a mixed salad starter which was very acceptable followed by grilled (broiled in this neck of the woods) Grouper and broccoli . Both perfectly cooked and fresh tasting so the lack of sauce went almost unnoticed . Very pleasant old school American restaurant that I imagine hasn't changed for half a century , much like most of the clientele ! So prob not for the young & trendy looking for a lively place but if you want excellent food and a sedate , comfortable ,smart and relaxed ambiance in Clearwater Beach this is your place .
