After reading so many great reviews, I decided to pick the camelot for my stay. First of all, its not a resort...it's more like a motel. The rooms seem much bigger online. Our "king" room was small. The shower was extremely small. They claim to have free wifi, but the wifi did not work. They also claim to have a heated pool. The pool was certainly not heated. Although the staff was very friendly, this place was not at all what I expected. It seemed like we were the only people there. It felt like a cheap motel. Even after the groupon price i felt ripped off. Oh and there is no room service and you have to take your own garbage to the dumpster. Not the worst place ever, but far far from the best.

My first review was we keep coming back. Since that review we have been back, about 10 times. The Camelot has everything we need for a nice relaxing stay at the beach. The rooms are so clean, each and every time- we have never had a bad room- believe we have stayed in about 8 of them. The kitchen, while small, has everything you need to cook a full meal, dishes, utensils, pots, pans-you name it and if your room doesn't have it, just ask Vicki the manager, she can get her hands on just about anything. No need to bring beach towels either, they are available for use for your stay. I especially love staying here during the fall, winter when beach crowds are down. The staff is small, both Vicki and Carrie welcome us with a smile and a request if their is anything we need each and every time. No need to look or book anywhere else. We LOVE the Camelot.

Room Tip: Some rooms have Queens, other Kings. All are comfortable, even the smallest rooms have room for rela...

We chose a few hotels in Clearwater Beach as recommendations for our wedding guests, but we chose Camelot as our hotel for the big night and for the place to stay for our close friends from out of town. We were not disappointed. It was absolutely perfect.

Room Tip: All rooms are privately owned and decorated. Room 101 is a large 1BR condo with 2 full baths plus a...

We stayed at Camelot for three days - Vickie was very helpful when making our reservations. We had a late check in and found the keys to our room in the lock box. We made reservations for room 202, but were assigned room 208. It had a King bed and tall two top table. Carrie was helpful with getting us beach towels and discount coupons for places within walking distance to eat. The beach was right across the street and an easy walk. The pool was crystal clear and the perfect temp to cool off in after a day at the beach. Enjoyed sitting up on the roof top deck also.

Room Tip: The owners update their units, so looking at more recent pictures on Trip Advisor was helpful.

My husband and I visit the Clearwater area twice a year....my parents live in Dunedin. We have always said that on one of our visits we would go to Clearwater Beach for a few days. We absolutely loved the Camelot. We are "beach" people, just wanted someplace close to the beach. Our room was perfect!! Very clean, well stocked.....all we really needed was the coffee pot for that first cup in the morning. There's a Dunkin Donuts express across the street which was perfect. We had our own beach chairs and towels but we did use the Camelot beach chairs in the morning when we strolled across the street to have our coffee on the beach.....and we used their beach towels when we jumped in the pool to cool off after a hot day on the beach. We parked our car on Monday morning and didn't move it until we left Wednesday afternoon. We walked to a few of our favorite happy hour establishments and then watched the best sunsets right across the street at the Palm Pavilion. We will definitely stay here EVERY time we visit!!! There wasn't any maid service unless requested.....the only thing we needed was extra coffee, which was provided as soon as we asked for it. We had plenty of towels so didn't even need to ask for extra ones!

This is our 3 time for Stone Crab Festival at Clearwater Beach. We are now up to booking 10 rooms for the weekend because it is such a great place to stay and super clean. The location is perfect because you are close to everything like Pal Pavilion, Frenchy's, Brown Boxer, Clear Sky and of course only steps from World Famous Clearwater Beach. The layout of the hotel is perfect because you are right near everything but layout is very private. Vickie and the staff go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. We may come as a group but others that are staying that are not with us join in and have a great time. The Worst Part.....we are having so much fun that our little secret not so secret anymore because we now will probably have even more rooms next year.....Yea that not so bad :-)

Room Tip: My plan is to not have a plan when we stay at the Camelot so you can go with the flow and just have...
