Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa

Location is the best in the area. Hotel is average. Imperative to upgrade to a gulf view otherwise looking onto busy street or air con units on flat roof. Note not cheap to upgrade. Also request as high a floor as possible. Queen size beds in rooms are too small and air con in room is extremely noisy clicking on and off all through the night. Beach bar great. Pool ok but not enough parasols for shade and although Pool bar says it shuts at sunset it was 6pm. $20/day resort charge is excessive plus $10/day parking. An expensive place to stay for average accommodation.

We spent 5 amazing days at this hotel after 2 weeks in Orlando. The hotel has a superb location right on the beach beside Pier 60 and the local shops, bars & restaurants. The room more than accomodated us and the 3 kids (16,15,12) with plenty of chill out space for each one so they could go online to play games or chat with their friends. Our balcony looked out onto the beach and we had fantastic views of the area and which were lovely during the evening time particularly at sunset. We had B&B but also enjoyed lunch by the pool, on the beach and dinner in the hotel. There is a beach food & drink service which really adds to the relaxing theme of this hotel. We did the parasailing and jet ski activities which cost extra and are expensive when paying for a few people. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and we really felt like we were welcome in this hotel. We would definitely return to the Hilton Clearwater Hotel.

excellent service, food, staff, beach, pool, surroundings in the city park, restaurants within walking distance, bungee, sidewalk carnival.

You can rent a cabana for shade at a reasonable cost and large enough for hiding from the sun for 5.

The best thing about this hotel is its location right on the gorgeous golden sandy beach of clearwater and right next to pier 60. The room was fantastic and everything i wanted with an amazing view of the sea and beach.

The restaurant was amazing especially the crab cakes and new york strip steak.

The pool area immaculate with a baking hot small pool and a cooler more refreshing bigger pool.

Overall a fantastic hotel.

We booked a pair of rooms at this location for a 6 day vacation. I was very impressed by the location of the hotel, it was centrally located near dining and attractions with a great view of ghetto beach- location is the pearl of the hotel. Staff was very friendly and attentive and quick to resolve any issues that we had. The hotel stays busy during huge summer due to its location which can also be seen as a downside. The front desk gave me room upgrades due to diamond status, however I was disappointed when I learned that ghetto sheets of one of our beds had not been changed, we found blood in our sheets. The hotel had the sheets replaced. I was disappointed that the drink vouchers are limited to cheap well mixes & American beers- typically when receiving these same passes at other resorts I'm allowed to redeem premium drinks, I'm sure that due to the traffic this is a reason that the defer to go cheap, but I would expect more with being a diamond status. As I mentioned previously this is a popular hotel in Clearwater, as a result family families bring their very young children. 2 of the 6 days we were there the hotel had to close on of the pools. Apparently some of the kids felt it was ok to use the pool as a restroom & I'm not referring to urine. The hotel needs to make adjustments to have a children friendly pool & an adult only pool. Not all guest vacation with young children & some don't like the inconvenience of having 1 pool to suffice all the guest in the hotel. Outside of the turds in the pool & blood in the sheets - I will say that we enjoyed ourselves during our stay. I'm hoping that these are isolated incidents. I would recommend to anyone staying at the hotel yo try the fried grouper sandwich & fried gator at Cooters & Frenchys- we ate at several spots while in Clearwater & those 2 were heads & shoulders above the rest.

Room Tip: Request a coast view if you are a diamond member.

We only stayed here for one night, but if I had been staying longer I would have asked to be moved to a different room (we did ask to change rooms but my daughter and two grandchildren where on the same floor as us and they couldn't give us another room on the same floor). The room we were in (865) overlooked the roof of the valet parking and had the outside air conditioning units for most of the hotel mounted on top of it, which meant that it was so noisy we couldn't sit on the balcony and hear each other talking. The air conditioning unit inside the room was so noisy it sounded like a helicopter taking off every 10 minutes (all night) The bed was so small that my partner put pillows on the floor and attempted to sleep there, he then put a jacket across the bottom of the door because so much light was steaming through it, it was as if someone was shining a torch under it. Then after a terrible nights sleep the maid knocked on the door at 8.10am to see if we had checked out yet despite check-out not being until 11am. We then went down to breakfast which was one of the worst I have tasted in a long time. We complained about our room and breakfast and to the hotels credit they did not charge us for breakfast and discounted the room 50%. I'm going back to Florida in a few years ( I've already started planning it) and plan to go back to Clearwater for a few days (Clearwater is stunning) but I'm looking at different hotels as I wouldn't stay at the hilton again. To end on a positive my daughter and grandchildren stayed in room 810 which was a perfectly lovely room with a beautiful view and quiet air con unit, so I think it's just your luck as to what room your given. If you have already booked call them and ask for a room ending in an even number, that way you'll not be overlooking the roof with the air con units.

Room Tip: The wifi is free but you have to pay a $20 resort fee to get it, so it's not really free. But wi...

Stayed here for a couple days during my birthday. Loved this hotel! Has a very open, fresh design to the look of the lobby area/ reflections restaurant. It was a smaller property than most Hiltons, I've been too, but still a great hotel!

Pool area was lovely. They have 2 moderate sized pools, a jacuzzi tub complete with a restaurant. They had tons of lounge chairs, so no issues picking out a place to hang out.

We had a couple drinks out in the lobby bar, and Ashely was great! The resort charge allows 2 complimentary signature drinks, so it pretty much pays for itself. I ordered the pad thai dish and it was delicious!

Best part is instant beach access! Weather was gorgeous and the beach was not overcrowded. They have a water sports company right on the beach that will help arrange parasailing, jet ski use and other types of fun activities. The hotel also arranges fun activities throughout the day such as beach dodgeball, beach soccer, best sandcastles, dance parties etc.

This hotel is also super close to Pier 60 which is great for fishing or just to take a stroll. Tons of restaurants within 5-10 minute walking distance. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return!
