“nothing to brag about”

if your looking for a relaxing enjoyable place on the beach this is not the place.. I have stayed in florida many times. It is overpriced the rooms are small. the food prices are way too much, the service is mediocre. The rooms are small and do not pay extra for harbour view. Ours looked out at the harbour which was about 3 blocks away and faced a side street. We ere on the 9th floor and you couldnt sit on the balcony beacause it was cemented half way up and if you sat all you saw was cement. They cater to conferences and if your a vactioner ypur pretty much not even noticed. The beash and water are nice but it is a hike to get there.

First, let me say the hotel desk staff was superb here. We were able to call ahead and get an upgraded room for free prior to check in time. They were helpful and courteous at both check in and out.

The rooms are small (sardine can small) and badly in need of updating. Our room looked visibly clean but the floors were very dirty. White socks were dirty within minutes. The overall tone was dingy and musty smelling.
Bathrooms were very tiny, only a sliding frosted door (no lock) for privacy. Bathroom drains barely worked, toilet seat did not stay up for use.
A/C units are very loud, though I did not mind because it drowned out other guests and the white noise assisted in my children's sleeping.

Housekeeping first night was done by 11am. Second night, after 5pm.

Restaurant service at the Tiki Bar and Reflections restaurants were poor. The Tiki Bar waitress left us for over an hour and the Reflections waitress did not remember requests for water, meals, etc. The food was very good at Reflections, though.

Beach access is superb, short walk, free towels, though you sign them out. Keep an eye on them. Within 5 minutes of placing them on a chair, someone took them. If you don't return them, you are charged $10/towel. Beach and valet staff, very nice and courteous.

Parking not a problem, right next to playground and Pier 60.

We have stayed at the Sheraton Sand Key and rooms were much nicer, spacious and less expensive. The Sandpearl offers comparable rooms at a much newer, nicer location just a block down the street, too.

This hotel was excellent! It is located right on the beach, just walk out the breezeway and there sits the beach...en route is a little tiki bar (try the margarita). Perfect location to everything! Great restaurant's and shopping right across the street. Every evening there are arts, crafts, etc. at Pier 60, again, right in the Hilton's back yard.
The hotel staff were very knowledgeable to what the city had to offer and were able to give good directions, they were always available and willing to help everyone, even when a line was forming, there were enough people present to be quick yet efficient. Valet parking was excellent, too.

Pros:The main attraction of this hotel is the location directly on the beach. From the guest rooms you can be on the beach in minutes. I was suprised how wide the Clearwater beach is and there is plenty of rooom for all types of beach activities. The hotel is located near Pier 60 which has vendors, snack shops, and playgrounds. A number of restaurants can be found within walking distance. The room price for beachfront hotel was very reasonable.
Cons:The rooms provide shelter and not much more. If traveling with children a normal-sized guest room will give you cabin fever. Finding a parking spot in the front lot or garage can be an issue. I had to checkout 1night earlier than my reservation and the guest services agent informed me of an early checkout fee that was later waived.

Great hotel, great location, only problem was being put onto 4th floor next to the restaurant a/c units, they droned on all night as well, and bearing in mind it was high 80's through the night, it got a little wearing. To be honest i should have asked for a move when the problem became apparent.

Staff very friendly, rooms very good, lovely 3 days had in clearwater.

Only issue i would bring up was the amount of boarded up or closed shops and eating houses close to the hotel. Made night time eating a bit restricted, unless we wanted to travel.

You must go on a dolphin sightseeing tour, good value on Little Toot, just a couple of minutes from hotel reception.

First of all, this is the best location on the beach. You are right by premium beachfront and Pier 60. We enjoyed walks down to Frenchy's (though it was an hour wait) and several meals at Crabby Bills across the street. The marina with a bunch of boats is next to Crabby Bills too. The water was almost bathwater warm even at night. And it was only a walk down to a wonderful 1.5 hour massage at Clearwater Spa. And the sheets were fabulous on the beds.

The rest of the hotel was average. The rooms were small and not really updated. We stayed on the 4th floor with a beautiful view of the Gulf but no balcony. I travelled down to stay with my husband while he was at a conference at the hotel. And even with the conference rate, we agreed, we would not pay that much to stay here on our own dime. The pool closed at 10pm each night so we never had a chance to go in it. And we never ate on site since those prices are usually more and we really enjoyed the other restaurants' food.

What can i say the locatoin of this hotel is amazing white sands steps away from the sea amazing.

The rooms were clean, we had a 2 double bed room so plenty of space we also had a south side view room which was great we could see the beach, sea, pier 60 the marina and the main street from our balcony.

The weather was great had one day out of the 2 weeks when it rained for 30 mins that was it.

I have to agree with some of the reviews about the air conditioning it was really loud we ended up turning it off as we could not sleep with it on, but amazingly the room still stayed cool so that was good.

My Partner loves his fishing so I went along with him on a fishing party boat as they call it, about 20 - 30 people depending on how busy they were trip out for 10 hours to catch grouper and/or snapper and anything else that swims by at one of these trips (We did 2) as the boat stopped a school of dolphin fish (mahi mahi) swam by it was amazing I've never seen anything like it everyone trying to catch one my other half hooked one but as he tried to pull it up on the boat the line broke he was gutted. oh yes and I caught a Big red snapper brill.

Anyway back to the hotel the food was really good but expensive buffet breakfast $17.00 per person, we did not use the cabanas or chairs as we though that was a bit too expensive as well. The hotel staff were all very friendly check in was easy. Parking was 5 dollars a day or 8 for valet parking we opted for the latter because it was much easier and did not have to drive around looking for parking spaces

All in all we had a great holiday will definately be going back.
