This place is just fine. The rooms aren't anything special, but they are fairly spacious and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful and the pool is good sized, situated right on the water. This hotel is not directly on the beach, but it is just a 5 minute walk to it, which was no problem for us. The food in the morning was solid. I would recommend avoiding rooms in the 00-12 (even numbers). We were facing another building. Even worse is the 2nd floor of this side (which we were on). Not sure exactly what the machines/vents were outside our room-maybe the a/c for the building- but they were loud. Also the a/c in the room was very loud, too. Still, this is a fine place.

Room tip: Stay off the 2nd floor or any room that ends in an even number between 00-12.

This was my first stay in Clear water beach. The hotel is easy to find it's smaller than some of the others in the area, but it's in a good location. Once we arrived and gave our car to the Valet we did not use it until we left 3 days later.
The hotel is clean, the staff very friendly and was a good value ( now keep in mind that we were there in Aug ) so it is not their peak season which is during the winter months.

The rooms were clean one room had two queen beds and a full bath, it had a TV. The other room had a sofa, easy chair a table with four chairs. It also had a TV, mini frig, micro wave and a bar sink.

The beds were comfortable as well as the pillows. The cleaning staff was also friendly an one morning after we came back from the beach we found a dog made of towels on one of the beds.

The beach is just a short walk from the hotel, and the hotel will provide towels that you may take to the beach. They also have their own pool which is quite large and it also has a bar near the pool. The pool area is clean as well as the area around it. They have a small shallow pool for younger kids. I did not see a hot tub.

There is a restaurant that served breakfast and another that served lunch and dinner. We had lunch there and the food was good and the prices fair. They also have a bar in this restaurant and one night I went there to have a drink. I should also mention that this restaurant has a outdoor patio so you can eat looking out on the bay.

I should mention that our rooms faced the bay and the view was spectacular especially at sundown.

There are restaurants in walking distance as well as bars for those who like to indulge. There a small McDonalds not too far from the hotel, it's a small so it does not offer then full menu of other McDonald's.

There is also a Hooters about a 10 min walk from the hotel. From Hooter there is the Clear water Aquarium ( another 10 min ) this aquarium was used in the filming of the movie A Dolphin Tale.

Room tip: If you can get a room with a view of the bay, you'll love it.

Catching up on my review writing... We stay here for 2 trips(April 2013,May2014) We were looking for a warm weather getaway which wouldn't break the bank. We felt the Holiday inn was a great value. The location was great. While it was not on the beach you are very close to the beach path. This was not a big deal for us because we were happy to lounge ocean side with a tropical drink from the bar in the hotel lounge chairs. Rooms were dated but clean. We had a nice lunch at the restaurant but typically we went out for breakfast and dinners. There are several dining options that are walkable or there was always taxis available if needed. After dinner we would go to the bar. What fun! Bartenders were friendly. There was usually live music playing and it was very laid back. I got the sense there were a lot of locals who frequented this bar. As I am writing this review In am thinking it is time for another trip back!

Our room was very nice and clean. The pool was very nice. The game on the back hooking a ring was fun, I would definitely go back. I did not pay the bill so I cant say anything about the value for the money.

A little older but very clean room. Great view of the jetty and pool. Not on the beach but good view and beach is not far. Restaurant was good as well and a nice bonus was kids eat free with adult entree. Valet parking was an additional $12 and breakfast is extra from restaurant in house. We ate at the Gondalier down the street which was wonderful.
