Clearwater Beach Hotel Suites
Ranked #72 of 98 Hotels in Clearwater

I found an offer for this hotel on Living Social for two nights at a very reasonable rate. I was looking for a place in Clearwater Beach to stay for a weekend getaway with my Girlfriend. With some of the reviews were a bit negative and limited photos on the website,I had some trepidation.
We arrived around 9 pm to find a group of 8 to 10 people waiting to check in, which turned out to be a result of a printer issue, and there were only about 3 reservations checking in from that crowd, so once things got moving it went quick.
Our reservation was for one of the suites which is located across the side street from the main building. Parking spaces were at a premium, but it was still a short walk to our room. Right outside our door which was on the ground floor at the end of the building, was a small table with two chairs, nice for sitting and enjoying the evening, or having a smoke if that's your thing. Across from out room was a nice little grassy area with picnic tables and a barbecue grill.
Upon entry we found a good sized living area with a TV in a free-standing bookshelf stile cabinet, a sofa-bed (which we never opened), coffee table, a small dinette, full sized refrigerator, sink, plenty of cabinets containing a limited supply of kitchen ware, plates, flatware, etc.
Our suite had two full size beds in a separate bedroom which had the obligatory dresser, flat-screen TV and night stand. The bathroom was a good size with a tub/shower combo and a modern sink and counter top. There's also a nice size walk-in closet off of the bedroom.
The Down side: The building is located in a Peninsula between two streets, so you're VERY close to traffic, something to consider with smaller children, however, there was no problem with traffic noise inside the room. The living area was all white with limited decoration, there's no stove or cook-top, just a microwave. The air conditioning unit in the living area, and the window unit in the bedroom ran continuously. As noted in another review: the mattresses on the bed were not the most comfortable, a little lumpy, but far from torturous. There's no exhaust fan in the bathroom, so it's totally fogged up after a shower. The shower head had a stream of water leaking out of the side as though it wasn't installed properly, or it was about to fly off. None of there issues were much more than a minor inconvenience; we weren't expecting The Hilton.
The Suite building has its own pool which is a short walk from all the rooms, and is just steps away from an Ice Cream Shop (as of this writing). There were plenty of umbrella-shaded tables and lounge chairs. As a matter of note: the pool is right next to the roadway, so there will be some traffic noise while you're relaxing in the sun.
Like all hotels in the area, you're within walking distance from everything: bars, clubs, restaurants, the pier..etc. I only moved my car to park closer to our room.
Over-all we enjoyed our stay, we didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room other than sleep, shower, change clothes and keep ,the beer cold, so it served its purpose, and we would defiantly come back and bring the kids (there's room for 6 to sleep)

Room Tip: Families an Couple alike will benefit from choosing a suite

So we are here visiting now and overall the suites are decent. The furniture is a little outdated but I was pleasantly surprised that the suite had a full size fridge. I was expecting a mini fridge. It's a great location, within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shops. Would stay here again. Like that the suite has 2 beds in the bedroom and also a pull out couch in the living room. Big fan of the tile floors also.

We stayed here many times in the past before it changed hands. It 's in a good location and the rates started out on the low end but as the motel seemed to get runned down, the prices were going up. An Italian Family owned it before. Now I'm searching for another inexpensive place to stay in the area.

This place was clean and right in the middle of everything. It was a good deal compared to the other big name chains across the street. We had a room right by the pool and loved our stay. Within walking distance to everything. Beach was across the street.

chose to stay here after a recommendation from another motel owner that could not put us up. we had travelled from the keys and was looking for one night before we flew home to uk.settled on this motel after viewing several s--t holes. what is it with clearwater now? we have stayed at parker manor and barefoot bay and blue jay before it was replaced with condos and all these places are immaculate with care and thought by the owners. what we viewed was disgusting!!!! we ended up here paying 168 dollars for one room for one night. bed was broke, carpet was stained and it was dreadfully decorated!!! ladies on desk were lovely though but beds were uncomfortable!! would i stay here again?? NO

Room Tip: go somewhere else............ out of clearwater if possible... its had its day!!!!!

It was a last minute trip for us. One of those pack up the car and go. So we did not make reservations or anything. We got to clearwater and ZERO hotel rooms on the beach at all. Spring Break. We had settled with the Hi-Seas. I work for a resort and I know the expectations. So yes I am a little picky. The room was nice for a couple and a child. Was not impressed with the Wifi. My Ipad was having problems keeping a signal. A lot of space in the room. Walking distance from the hotel to the beach was nice. So we didnt drive the whole 2 days we were there. We are planning on revisiting later on.

Room wise could use a paint touch up and update maybe some pictures on the walls.

Staff was very nice. Impressed with the ladies at the front desk. I know how hard it is when you are very busy. They were great.

Room Tip: Take bathroom items. shampoo, conditioner and lotion.
