“Maybe more for UK es-pats than holidaymakers?”
Reviewed 3 March 2014

Used by Thomas Cook reps and their 'touts' for want of a better word. It was a dark and dingy place that we went into to register that we'd arrived at our villa. Didn't eat or drink there but wouldn't have wanted to as it was totally ersatz dark wood and unattractive looking.

“Beware.. Not family friendly!!!!”
Reviewed 27 January 2014

We stopped in here on Thursday nite comedy nite for a few drinks and the show. We have been to a few comedy clubs before and expected some raw humor. When the comedy acts began, it was worse than you can imagine. Nonstop filth and humor degrading to women. My wife was shocked and disgusted. In addition to the offensive nature of the show, NOTHING was remotely humorous. Worse than a waste of time and money. We walked out. Don't go in.

“Family restaurant? BEWARE it is a swingers bar”
Reviewed 26 January 2014

This place used to be a family friendly bar/restaurant, a bit outdated like being in a 1970's cabaret club in the UK, but not a bad place to have a laugh in.
Now there is a swingers crowd that meet there under the guise of a comedy night.
Don't go there unless you want some lech checking you and your family out

“Just Plain Rude.”
Reviewed 22 January 2014

Outdated.
Eat somewhere else.
They expect the owner(s) to be tipped for poor service and food.

Got better service and food at Mickey D's.

“But I don't do 'British Pubs' when I'm abroad.......”
Reviewed 16 November 2013

I know all those dreaded thoughts run through your head at even the mear mention of going to a British Pub when your away from the real thing, but we felt in need somewhere you could just sit and have a couple of beers and a chat. We checked out the reviews and the British Stage Door Pub seemed worth a look in, even if it was only for one.
You are given a warm welcome by Jason and his dad and even though the bar itself is quite dated, I felt like I was stepping back into the 80's, it was comfortable and offered everything you wanted. They offer home cooked food by the mum (we had just had dinner elsewhere and didn't eat there) & various entertainment from comedy nights, karaoke nights and so on.
Now we only planned to stay for one, but Jason was happy to open a tab and we left there 2 hours later!
Although British pubs abroad really is not my thing, they are one family obviously working hard to ensure you have a good time and they make a living, it's as simple a that. So stop being a snob and pop in and say "Hi" if your passing, even if it's only for a couple of pints.
