We had been traveling for 9 hrs and were famished. We decided to leave the airport and find a place along the way to eat. As we hadn't had breakfast, we were happy to see a sign for an IHOP, when we pulled off the highway. Upon entering the restaurant it was apparent decor and cleanliness were not high on the list. We were seated in a booth near the door, could see the cooks through a service window, and figured it'd be worth taking a chance. Our seating allowed us to view many areas of the restaurant. I wonder when the last time the place was fully cleaned? There seemed to be several servers, more than needed at the moment, and I wondered why some of them couldn't be assigned cleaning duties. I honestly cannot believe it would pass an inspection from the health department. Our particular server was efficient. The food was ok. One of the worse dining experiences I've ever had due to the general cleanliness.
