My wife, two nieces, age 7, and I flew into Orlando the day before our cruise and decided to stay in Cocoa Beach. Looking at the reviews, I wanted to stay in a smaller, old-fashioned property rather than the cookie-cutter chain alternatives. This is truly an Inn; it has intimacy and personality. The staff were friendly and well informed; our girls loved playing with the hotel's dogs and were amazed to see large parrots close-up. The grown-ups enjoyed wine and cheese in the lobby and the opportunity to chat with fellow travelers.
The room was large, appropriately decorated, very clean and comfortable. The balcony was directly on the beach with a great view and the breeze was quite refreshing. Breakfast was provided -- everything is homemade and quite good, They offered homemade breads and mini quiches. The girls enjoyed making their own hard boiled eggs (each individually numbered!) along with the usual cereals, fruits and so on.
The location is great; right in the thick of things yet a peaceful oasis in its own right. I would recommend this inn without hesitation to my friends for a beach stay or any other reason. My only criticism is minor and debatable: the burbling of the courtyard fountain drowns out the surf at night. I'd consider unplugging it.More
