We spent two nights here. We got the oceanfront room and loved the view. It is very relaxing listening and watching the waves. The rooms have been renovated and were very clean. Everyone at the hotel was very accommodating. The breakfast was great and very plentiful. I know someone had a problem before but they have obviously fixed the problem. The dishes were being replenished regularly. The outside pool bar is an added plus. I do recommend the oceanfront rooms over the oceanview. The oceanview overlooks the pier and swimming pool and can be quite noisy.

Room Tip: Stick to the oceanfront versus the oceanview. Much quieter and worth the additional cost.

I have travelled quite a bit with my sons in the last month for athletics but always read Trip Advisor before traveling even if 2 hours away. This was an impromptu week to cross off a bucket list item and have the boys take surf lessons after their soccer team cancelled participation an upcoming national event.

I was impressed with the reviews so I booked a room but was forced to book only until 7/4! I booked at another hotel from the 4th-6th, but this morning, Lorrie called to discuss my room and my condition and I told her to give my room to someone more in need and I'll have my sons do,the lifting, etc. I also mentioned the 7/4-6 situation and she worked on it right away, got us the most surprisingly fabulous room facing the ocean on the 4th floor AND we don't have to check in. I called several times to ensure they didn't do to me what Hilton did and give my room away -it's paid for and I'm a rewards member in all the hotels so why give it away now that I think about it while writing, lol.

My point is that we arrived close to 1 am on T for a M. Reservation and Lorrie had my paperwork waiting while my 12 year old slept and my 13 year old and dog excitedly waited for me to check in. We were pinching ourselves and kept looking out on the balcony and saying that that is the ocean and the lighthouse and the pier!

The floors are terrific - seems like a synthetic teak (possibly real-I'm tired at 4am) the bureau has such deep wonderfully made drawers that I want to take them home. It is the first time that a dresser was so nice that I wanted to take my clothes out of my suitcase. There is a closet, bathroom and kitchenette area by front door and the lamps are the best-they have a dual function that allows normal bright light from below the lampshade versus very subtle dim light from above the lampshade. The A/C works much better than any Hilton, Marriott that I have stayed in ever- literally.

All I can say again and again is thank you Lorrie AND believe me when I say this is not your typical LaQuinta. The attention to every detail is so apparent that I had to write as I am still pinching myself. I have travelled the world and quite frankly, this particular spot even in the dark feels like more than a bit of paradise and we've been to many beaches. The inside of the rooms are more pleasantly surprising than the typical outside of the hotel and it's not until you come into, your room, see the attention to detail by housekeeping and management that you realize that this is a cut above the rest! Also, there is a tiny sand dog park with station at the bottom on our outside stairs which made my dog even smile, lol. My sons was happy about the toiletries provided by Bath and Body Works, lol.

The room and the staff are truly worth the 5 out of 5 rating. I'll follow up after the sun rises and we venture out, but what could have been a terrible week for an injured mom with 2 sons 4th on July week turned into a great spontaneous bucket list excursion thanks to Lorrie who went out of her way to accommodate me-I was contemplating canceling just imagining moving out on the 4th after their surf lesson - just the thought made my shoulder and back throb in fear .... It's worth the trip and earned the glowing reviews so far-still smiling and pinching myself as we really needed this week!!! ;)

Room Tip: Watch the sun rise on the Atlantic Ocean from room 504 and great views even from front door of surrounding areas.

Over 20 people never go the bacon and eggs they were waiting an hour for. You spend 140 a night you expect to get breakfast Hotels very unorganized and they had only one lady cooking the food and stocking everything
