“Beautiful view, reasonably priced hotel......”
Reviewed 9 April 2014

We stayed here (2 adults, 2 tweens) from April 4-8, 2014. We had a 7th floor ocean view room in the Tower with 2 queen beds (although they seemed smaller than that?). The ocean view from our balcony was awesome!! The room had basic amenities, including a mini fridge and microwave, a desk and a TV, albeit a small one. We didn't experience any insects and our air conditioning worked fine. I noticed some other reviews complained about those things. I was able to find the laundry area and several floors had soda and snack machines. Security seemed good, the sliding doors required a room key to even enter the building. Breakfast was good and had a lot of offerings; cereal, coffee, scrambled eggs, sausage, muffins, banana bread, pancakes, juice, milk. The elevators worked fine.

Even though it was Spring Break we didn't experience crowding at the beach. We were pleasantly surprised that there were NO all night parties down by Cocoa Beach Pier, even though the weather was fabulous. There were young spring breakers around, but they didn't disrupt our stay. Pool was very warm and felt nice after a long day of touring the area. Towels provided poolside was a nice bonus.

Housekeeping staff was kind enough to bring us more towels at 7:00 PM when we forgot to take the "do not disturb" tag off of our door, so no housekeeping visited that day. The next day left a tip for housekeeping due to the extra mess of towels.

Our only issues with the hotel were minor: the air conditioning unit was unusually loud when we were trying to sleep...there was a very large desk chair right smack in the middle of the room so we had to walk around it to get across the room. Finally we just stuffed it in the corner but then it took up that space. The closet door didn't really stay on the tracks or open/close well. We just kept it open and left it alone. The water.....oh my......smells and tastes so bad. But I'm guessing that's the joy of staying near the Atlantic Ocean. The breakfast tasted good but the design of it left long lines and not enough seating. It seems to be mostly due to the pancake machines at the end. If they could be moved somewhere else it might help the crowding problem. Some people sat down, ate and left in the time it took us just to get through the line. We went 2 mornings but the next 2 skipped it and went to Dunkin' Donuts.

Overall it was a pleasant stay.....would stay here again.

Room Tip: Tower Rooms are nice and they seem newer. Get a room above the 3rd floor to reduce noise from rooms...

I would not stay here. again My room had a gap under the extreior door. Come on in little critters. The only reason I did not request another room was bcause the staff worked really hard to check me in early. Also air conditioner kept going on and off. Made for a very poor sleep. Also exterior noise could easlly be heard. Some bacon or ham or sausage to go with the eggs for breakfast would be nice. Staff were great. Next time in area I will try La Quinta next door.

This hotel is a good value for the price during spring break. It is close to the Cocoa Beach Pier and the breakfast and happy hour (Thursdays) are well managed. The only negatives would be that there are not enough towels or chairs at the pools.

The view was great as was the location for before and after a cruise. We had a Jr. Suite which was perfect for the amount of room we needed for a family of 5. However, the building was old and was in need of updates to carpet, bedding and the bathroom area. The room had 2 TV's but only one shared remote, strange. Our sofa bed did not have bedding provided so we had to call down to the lobby to ask for some when we had booked the room for 5 persons, clearly we were going to need to use the sofa bed. The hotel advised they were out of blankets so we only had sheets for the person sleeping on the sofa bed, no blankets. The breakfast had a nice selection although it was very crowded. Was hard to accommodate everyone who was there for the breakfast in the small line area that was provided.

I was excited to stay here but after requested 2 baby cribs 3+ months in advance, I was told at check in they simply ran out, thank God I brought mine as back up or else my 14 month old twins would have had no where to sleep. This hotel also makes you keep the ac at 70+, my family much prefers a cooler room, we keep our home at 66, 70 was warm for us and after paying $150+ for one night we should be able to choose our temp. The breakfast was lacking, no meat, no pastries, very skimpy, not happy.

I booked an ocean front room. When I woke up in the morning I found fleas and ticks on my bed. This was the worst experience in my life. The manager sent the maintenance personnel to inspect the bed, then offered me the 50% discount of the bill. I paid and left the hotel immediately.
