I want to send out a special thank you to Ruth who we met at the breakfast. We appreciated her conversation. The hotel was perfect for a night before leaving on a cruise. The location was ideal. We will definitely be back!

Management please let Ruth know the Wisconsin people really appreciated her services.

This Hampton is surprisingly old for a Hilton property and badly in need of a renovation. We had an ocean view room ... but the ocean was far away and the white plastic chairs on the balcony were not inviting. But the real problem is the design of this old hotel with an outside hallway to get from the elevator to your room. It was cold and rainy when we were there... not a pleasant way to get downstairs for breakfast! How can they fix that?

Tom W, General Manager at Hampton Inn Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral, responded to this reviewResponded 11 February 2014

Dear FlStarfish,

I'm sorry you did not find our hotel to your liking. While we are not directly on the beach, as you know, our beach path is approximately 100 yds to the dunes. Once again, I apologize if you were surprised by our location. The good news is that we are about to begin a major refresh of the hotel, including new guest room bathrooms, carpeting, and yes, balcony furniture, among other things. I hope you will give us another chance on your next visit.
Sincerely,
Tom Williamson, General Manager

Had a room on the top floor with a beach view. Fun to watch the pelicans patrol the beach. Didnt make it to the beach this year as it was chilly, but it's just a short walk down an access way to get there. Not the newest hampton inn, but I'd guess the sea air makes it difficult to keep things from deteriorating. We had a nice balcony too. Hot coffee and fruit always available. Plentiful breakfast area. Hear it's a great place to leave your car and be picked up for a cruise too. Had lots of nice chats with happy folk.

Great experience. Reasonable price, excellent staff, clean rooms, nice pool, great coffee. Complimentary/and or take away breakfast. Near the beach, walking distance to several restaurants. Great for overnight stay if departing on a cruise from Canaveral.

Our stay started off with the front desk helping us greatly with a misunderstanding on our part. The breakfast was great and so was the private walkway to the beach. The room overlooked the pool so could be quite loud. The walls were thin between rooms. Other than pool noise, hairs on my towel that I had to exchange and cleaning solution left in the bathroom it was an okay stay.

We came to the Hampton Inn because we got two free nights on cocoa Beach. We left our certificate at home but luckily the Man at the desk was able to help us. The breakfast was nice and it was delicious and warm. They have a private boardwalk going to the beach. And full access to all of the amenities at the courtyard Marriott literally right across the street. The beds were super comfy there is a lot of living space. The only problem is the walls are really thin so you can hear everything going on above and besides you. Also whenever anyone is at the pool depending on what room you're in you can hear them at the pool. They had a brochure area where you can get brochures with discount coupons and then so that was cool. You can't really see the beach that much from the rooms. Overall it's been a nice visit and I would come back.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days and overall it is a very nice hotel. I have stayed at better Hampton Inn's but this hotel is very nice. Please note this hotel does not face the beach and you cannot see the beach from the hotel due to another hotel or property being in front of this hotel. The hotel is a nice stay for those going to NASA or on a cruise in the area. My only negative for this hotel is the breakfast buffet they offer in the morning. I will say this being a bit picky the eggs they offered were probably the worst I have ever tasted. No amount of seasonings or condiments could hide the fact that they were the most dreadful things I've ever eaten.

Room Tip: Please note that this hotel does not face the beach and you cannot see the beach but there is beach...
