Our family always stays at Hampton Inns when traveling because we know the accommodations will be acceptable. However, this hotel miserably failed to meet those expectations. Check-in attendance was extremely helpful and pleasant, but another attendant to whom I addressed my concerns did not care. Needs a thorough cleaning and many bathroom fixtures need to be replaced....they have outlived their life expectancy and the hotel guest pays the price.

You will be pleased to know that we are about to begin a refresh of our guest bathrooms that will include all new tubs, flooring, and fixtures, among other items. The hotel was overlooking the ocean & had great beach access. Tina & Barbara at the front desk were very helpful & kind ,especially during a hectic sold out week for spring break..it was nice to have such great service after spending 19 hours in the car!

Disappointed.
The hotel appears to be poorly managed.
The hotel has never been the most updated, but it used to be a comfortable place. Requests are ignored. The air conditioner was so dirty, that we both were coughing & uncomfortable. Three times (to different people on different shifts) we explained to the front desk, we couldn't breathe well in the room. We even tried to clean the air conditioner & requested a vacuum, as a huge amount of debris came out of it. We couldn't open the doors to deck in the evening without smoke coming into our rooms.
On the last day of a 7 day visit, we met a very nice maintenance person, and he offered to change our A/C - (he should have been informed on Day 1, 2 or 3 (when we had complained of issues!)
We were told we would receive a day credit - yet to be seen & called to check after discharge - since front desk gave me another room's detailed charges. I asked her for a copy (as I doubted it was taken care of - and said my name & room number 3x - still another persons info...)
As for the pool, if you have children, the pool looked clean, although people smoked around the pool. I told the front desk, it would be better to have a designated smoking area. But she said "NO, People could smoke anywhere outside of the hotel!"
The pool towels were very small & thin (almost like hand towels) - another indication of low quality.
Breakfast is fine usually, get there early, breakfast is until 10 am, eggs ran out by 8:30 am, as we noticed one day.
Lower your expectations, this hotel has clearly gone down.

I apologize that your stay was not up to our normal standards. The situation regarding your air conditioner should have been addressed immediately and not have taken until near the end of your stay. We will begin a refresh of our guest rooms on May 5, to include a complete renovation of our guest bathrooms as well as new carpeting in the guest room.I invite you to give us another try once this is completed.

Hello,

Great hotel good price! We stayed here with 66 people for our wedding the staff was excellent and patient with us great deals! You should stay here before you cruise it's great. And has a shuttle to take you to the cruise ship. We went to the beach which is nice as well great location! Shopping close bye too.

We stayed here for one night before a cruise. Not sure if I could have stayed more than one night. Walking in it looked fine…the lobby is well maintained and the staff very friendly. Once we got to our room, however, I was a bit disappointed. The furniture and bathroom were both fine, but the room smelled like mildew and the carpet was downright damp. Maybe this just happens at beach hotels, but it completely grossed me out. I would explore other options in the area for a pre-cruise stay in the future. The breakfast was what we expected, and was convenient.

During our stay as this Hampton Inn we particularly enjoyed how cool the food service staff was during the feeding frenzy of the continental breakfast. As the guest scrambled to get their breakfast plates together the staff members interacted with them while keeping the hot food hot and the place in order. They cleared tables with a smile, replenished juices with a smile and talked and asked questions to guests who were willing. Our girl Shawn (with the permanent name tag, tattoo) became our buddy. She was open, warm and friendly to us and the rest of the guests. It was nice to see her personality in a place where most people were only concerned with getting their free meal. Shawn took it in stride and laughed with the folks who were willing to laugh with her. Through out our stay we were happy to see her smiling face and felt like she was taking care of us. The entire staff a Hampton Inn Cocoa Beach gets two thumbs up from these seasoned travelers.

Room Tip: The higher the better. Sound views go well with ocean views.

If you are ever in Cocoa Beach in Florida, you MUST stay at the Hampton Inn. We had originally booked in a different hotel, but it was not up to par. So we went to Hampton to see if we could get a room. We were immediately greeted by Maureen at the front desk with a big smile. That smile never went away and soon we were smiling. My friends and I now know what "Hamptonality" is all about. She asked us many questions (with a smile) and was clearly focused on us having a much better stay then what we experienced a day earlier with a different hotel in town. Her genuine concern with our comfort and positive vacation experience instantly added sunshine to our trip. We were touched by how nice the entire staff was. Maureen would introduce us to everyone like they were family. By the time we check out, we felt like family. Thanks Maureen and Hampton Cocoa Beach for using your Hamptonality to turn our vacation into a really good one.

Room Tip: Ocean view on one side, sunset view on the other… you cannot lose.
