We had a problem with our motor home and had to check in to a motel for a couple of days. We have a dog. That can be a problem when looking for motel. After looking on Trip Advisor and careful search, we selected this motel. Well, we were surprised in several areas and got what we expected in other areas. This is better than most Red Roof Inns or Days Inns that we are usually left with when we have to select pet friendly places. Pros and Cons are...
Pro: Staff is great, breakfast is great (so much better then RRI or DI by far and actually better than most Hampton Inn's we have stayed in). Location is great because you are at a traffic light and after crossing A1A and walking a block you have access to the ocean through Wilson park. Wilson park also has a Dog Park! There is a Denny's within walking distance (very close), don't bother for breakfast, the one in the motel is actually good.
Con: Not Kid Friendly. If you have kids, consider the Holiday Inn across the street. There are nice people that seem to be workers in the area staying here. They are not stock brokers or lawyers...they are roofers and such. We had no problem with guests....just consider that we say Zero Kids at this motel.
Overall, this motel is much better than other budget priced motels that we have stayed in. When we have the dog we tend to have visits at non-Hilton type motels and this one stands out as one of the best.

I'm a single mom. Arrived with 3 kids ages 14, 12, and 9 late 9:30ish and thought uh oh what did I do. At the free breakfast looked around and saw other families and seniors and normal people. Hotel was neat, and clean. Room was decent for the price. Front desk was friendly and helpful. There are 2 La Quintas in Cocoa. So glad we stayed at this one NOT oceanfront. Oceanfront is by the pier which is grungy and crowded. This La Quinta was quiet part of town beach was perfect not crowded with normal people.

My wife and I took our first trip to Cocoa beach since our honey moon. Having stayed at a condo at Sandcastles, there is no comparison except the price. The hotel is not right on the beach, the rooms are adequate for 2 or 3 people but again wasn't comparable to the condo unit we stayed at in Sandcastles, which was at least 50% bigger and had more home amenities such as a full kitchen. We weren't able to stay at the unit we did last time through www.stayincocoabeach.com because we needed a couple nights last minute. Our next visit to Cocoa Beach will be at a condo on the water as the rates are similar and the location, amenties and size are much better.

I stayed here for one night on route to Miami. The hotel is in a good location a block from the beach. It is a very typical motel/hotel set up with rooms and doors arranged to face out to the parking areas. Check in was slow, primarily due to the person on th desk taking a call and then doing follow up work for the call before dealing with us. I didn't see an elevator but presume there is one, otherwise you are, as we did, hauling your luggage up steps if you are on the second floor.

The room was spacious and adeqaute for a one night stay though I wouldn't want to stay there for any length of time. Breakfast was included but was foul - the coffee resemembled dirty water, there was one tea bag, the selection of pastries looked tawdry and there was insufficnet space for the number of guests - better to drive up to the Starbucks.

The Thai/Japanese restaurant on site is nice and not too pricey and given the choice in the immediate area is the best bet.

Overall this was what one would expect of a budget premises and for a stop off is adequate.

My boyfriend and I came here to get away for a couple of days. We are both vegan and were surprisingly able to eat a lot of their breakfast items, which is a major plus for us. They were stocked with fresh fruit and baked goods.

This hotel actually has a fenced in doggie park with "elimination" stations. As dog owners, this is a very cool thing for us to see at a hotel.

Our room, as well as all of the other rooms, had an incredible ocean view. The TV was a nice big flat screen, the floors were new and nice, our balcony was a good sitting spot for us, and the bathroom was tres chic with modern plumbing.

The facilities were great, but the staff was the best part. Debbie greeted us and was super friendly. It was obvious that this was more than just a job to her; she really took pride in taking care of her guests. A day into our stay there, my boyfriend came down with a terrible fever and strep throat. The staff, specifically a sweet girl named Brittany, did everything they could to make sure we were as comfortable as possible. They directed me to pharmacies and gave me great care packages to take care of him with. Stinks that our whole trip ended up being spent in a hotel room, but it couldn't have been any better thanks to the staff.
