Just got back from a business trip which we hosted at the Biltmore and wish I had stayed longer! The pool area was fabulous, the grounds were beautiful and well kept, staff was very conscientious, the hotel has a history in pictures throughout - I could have spent an entire day just reviewing the pictures. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Tucked away in a very rich neighborhood - great for walks.

Checked in on Christmas day- the building is imposing and impressive and bursts with character and 'old world charm.'
Things I liked- breakfast- amazing! Choice, setting and service was great.
The pool- huge!
Room- free upgrade, well maintained and clean.
Gym and studio classes were exceptional and all complimentary.
Not so good- poolside drinks/food service- extremely slow and not particlularly friendly.
No coffee maker or free coffee in the lobby, which tends to be the norm in this class of hotel.
Spa- although the treatnment (full body massage) was great the room was cold and uninspiring (no heated bed, candles etc).
A car is a must due to its location- however, GREAT restaurants in Coral Gables.
Overall, I would return but with a few tweaks in certain areas this hotel could go from being very good to 'great'.

As a world-class luxury destination resort, the Biltmore enjoys a stellar reputation for professionalism, services and quality of product within the industry. We extend every effort possible to resolve guests' issues related to their hotel experience when these concerns are brought directly to our attention, as they were here. We will address the issues and suggestions in question directly with the pertinent staff, as this behavior is certainly not reflective of our normal standards or service culture at the Biltmore.

We had an amazing time. This place is just fantastic. The pool was so much fun and our beautiful room had a great view and luxurious bed. The amenities were fabulous and getting a massage was just divine. The history of the hotel and charm of Coral Gabels can't be rivaled. Don't miss the stellar Sunday brunch. You'll be talking about it for decades.

My family of five went to Coral Gables, Florida for a relaxing vacation during winter break. I could not think of a better hotel to have stayed at than the Biltmore. It provided us with our needs and exceeded our expectations. We stayed in a one bedroom suite. It had 2 queen beds, a pretty big bathroom and a living room (where we fit a cot for the 5th person). The price was reasonable as well. The amenities in the hotel were numerous. First off, they had a good-size work out room, consisting of about 15 treadmills and weights. (in the work out area there was a smoothie shop, which was delicious). They had classes everyday, for example, yoga, pilates, zumba and much more. They had a golf course and 4 wonderful restaurants to choose from (although one was expensive). They have a HUGE pool, we actually learned it was the biggest in the U.S. Although one of my few complaints about this hotel is that the pool wasn't heated. It was too cold for me to swim in, but it may have been because we went during their wintertime. This critique would NOT stop me from going back. They have tennis courts, which we could not use because there was a tournament the week we were there, but that was a rare occasion. This hotel is huge and has beautiful architecture and landscape, even though it is not extremely modern. There were weddings going on and it was so elegant! The staff are very nice and treat you like royalty. One other thing that was very important was a car. We rented a car and it was definetly necessary if you don't want to live at the hotel all day and night. There are places to go, eat, shop and just walk around, but you will most likely need to drive there. Everywhere we went had great food and was in about a 20 minute radius of the hotel... not a walkable distance. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway I would recommend the Biltmore!

Biltmore hotel is a grand old hotel. Very well maintained . The rooms are large and we got the rooms facing the golf course which had a good view.
The breakfast is a good spread with a wide choice of all kinds of fruits, breads and cereals.
Service is very slow from checking in or for your luggage reaching your room takes ages. You have to call twice or thrice before you receive your luggage.
The room has no coffee making facilities neither do you receive any complimentary water bottles.
Taxis are available at Biltmore but the shopping malls are not near the hotel. Expensive to reach a mall or publix by taxi.
overall the hotel is a good place to relax and enjoy golf or a swim at their beautiful pool.
The lifts are very slow or most of the time only one is in operation so one has to wait long for the lift.

Ordinarily, I try never to travel during Christmas-New Years. It's too hectic, everything in the US is too crowded reservations are tough and prices are high. However, when a dear friend decides to get married in Miami Beach what are you going to do? Call The Biltmore Hotel.

My husband, 16 y/o son and I had a marvelous time. We were in different junior suites separated by one floor easily navigated by the stairs. But, we preferred to meet on the lower lobby. First one up got the table for the wonderful breakfast served in restaurant on the terrace with the fountain. Traveling with a teenage boy made the all you can eat breakfast a good value for us! I was surprised and delighted by how good the food was-- definitely a cut above the average posh resort. The staff was uniformly gracious and attentive. Also multilingual. The number of people speaking, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish lent an welcome air of international sophistication to the full resort. Alas, my son couldn't discover where the Brazilian girls were hanging out. It is a very large pool....

We were relaxing, enjoying the good weather, exploring the nearby Everglades and luxuriating in the atmosphere of old fashioned graciousness and enduring beauty of the land-marked hotel. The whole experience reminded me of happy times as a child at the old Del Coronado in San Diego and last year's trip to the Hotel Maria Cristina in San Sebastian (currently my favorite vacation spot in the world).

It came time to dress for the wedding dinner. My husband could only find one collar stay. We'd learned the previous evening that Miami Beach is about 15 minutes from Coral Gables-- until you hit Collins Ave. where traffic slows to the point that if there were any old people with walkers left amongst all the hipsters they could have lapped us easily. I am often tardy but not for a Friday Night Soiree in South Beach to celebrate a marriage. I told him to stop looking for it and just call the concierge. I dress, preparing myself to run down and pick up the collar stay thinking it could easily take 15 minutes that we didn't have to spare.

Potential crisis avoided when five minutes after the panicked call to the concierge (who as it turned out had just given his last spare pair of stays to a member of the wedding party I was watching being photographed in the golden light outside our room which over looked the pool) an envelope slid under our door containing two collar stays freshly manufactured out of an old room key.

There are many beautiful and warm places to spend a few days escaping Manhattan during a cold and always hectic time of year, but I have never enjoyed such a level of intelligent hospitality. I'm looking forward to going back maybe hit the Wolfenson Museum or another part of the Everglades. Plans can and do change. But not my Florida hotel. From now on it's The Biltmore.

My wife and I stayed her at the end of our honeymoon and it was excellent all round

The rooms are lovely, the building itself is superb and very interesting in terms of its history. The service is outstanding. The pool, golf, gym, spa and all facilities are top notch

We ate dinner in the Palm d'Or which is not cheap but is excellent with fantastic food, wine list and service.

We had such a relaxing time by the pool and running around the local area - we didnt really have time to explore Coral Gables at the end of our trip but this would be easy from here is you wanted to.

Overall this is well worth a visit!
