My friend and I arrived just after 7pm on a Saturday evening. We had to wait for a table, and then were seated at a small wobbly table on the sidewalk next to a fountain -- with some people who were lounging, talking loudly and smoking. We were then ignored for quite a while..... When the waitress finally came, she took our drink order and took off, even though we'd had plenty of time to read the menu. Our drinks were delivered, but nobody took our order. We then noticed am empty table closer to building (and under cover since it had been raining off and on all afternoon and it was still cloudy). The hostess said we could move -- but then the waitress couldn't find us. When she finally did, she grabbed the menus and seemed ready to walk away when I told her I needed the menu to point to the salad I wanted
The food arrived is a reasonable amount of time. The spinach artichoke salad was very fresh with soft homemade mozzarella and moist sundried tomatoes. The portion was very generous - we ended up sharing it and there was some left over. The margherita pizza was a disappointment. The thin crust was like a tortilla and the topping was a mess. I couldn't see or taste any basil. They had another pizza called Regina which probably was more like a a traditional margherita - the menu said it was made with tomatoes not sauce.
We were served free gelato which was nice, but when we paid our check with two $20 bills we were shortchanged and had to argue with the waitress. She finally came back with the correct change, but by then we were more than ready to get out of there.
(I didn't even mention the 'gang' of teenagers hanging out across the sidewalk yelling at girls walking by and each other}.
